Very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. Staff was also friendly and kind to patients as I did witness one patient even baked cookies for the office which goes towards customer satisfaction. Wait time was a tad bit longer for me since I was a new patient with additional paperwork.

Dr. Obinna Mgbako joined the Foot and Ankle Specialists of NJ in 2007 and is adept in lower leg limb salvage, diabetic wound care and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. He is highly qualified to treat all foot and ankle pathology. He has experience in revision and complex reparative surgical procedures, as well as minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgical practices. Dr. Mgbako employs current technologies for the comprehensive management of his patients, including Platelet Rich Plasma Injection therapy, Focused Aspiration of scar tissue and Electronic Signal Intonation.
He received his early education in his home state of New Jersey where he is a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Metuchen. He obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Computer Science from New York University in 1999 and was deemed a College of Arts and Science Trustee Scholar. He was inducted into the Pi Delta National Honor Society – Gamma Chapter from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2004 after graduating with honors. He completed his postgraduate residency training at the Morristown Memorial Hospital Podiatric Surgical Residency program where he served as Chief Resident during his last year.
Dr. Mgbako is board qualified in Foot and Ankle Surgery and is appointed to the medical staff at Overlook Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson Rahway Hospital in New Jersey. Dr. Mgbako is certified as a Wound Care Specialist and is on staff at the Overlook Hospital Wound Care Center where he specializes in the management and treatment of chronic, non healing foot and ankle ulcerations.
Dr. Mgbako is an avid sports fan who spends much of his time garnering and practicing new insights relating to sports medicine and physical fitness.

This may sound strange but he has a very high energy and a healing energy. You go in to the doctors office feeling (not just your feet...YOU) hurt and embarrassed about how your feet look. Then during his examination and communication you begin to feel like, it ain't that bad and.....we can fix it!

It was a busy afternoon due to holidays, so the wait was longer than typical, but staff was kind and attentive. Dr. Mgbako was patient and did not make me feel at all rushed. Answered all my questions, and explained various approaches to deal with the pain. Very nice, warm manner about him.
