She was very nice and took the time to explain things that the other psychiatrist I had seen didn't. She also insisted I call my mom to find out what psychiatric medicine she took. She waited patiently while I called my mom on my cell phone.

had to wait to find out ZocDoc lead me to the wrong type of doctor!
She was very warm, welcoming, and kind. Her personable demeanor made me feel comfortable right away. She apologized for the extremely long period of time I had to wait- almost 2 HOURS! Despite her apology, I was still a bit frustrated by this. She mentioned that she was fairly new to the practice and this became more evident throughout the appointment. I got the impression that she wasn't 100% familiar with the practice and their strict guidelines, procedures, etc. I cannot fault her for being new to the practice, however I feel as though she lacked the "power" that most doctors boldly possess, exude, and clearly proclaim. Overall, I did thoroughly enjoy talking with her. It was super comfortable, easy, natural, and not forced in any way. We even made a few jokes and laughed. I definitely prefer a laid back, easy going, pressure-less doctor as opposed to one who is strictly professional, only serious, and consequently, intimidating. In conclusion, her personality and the environment she facilitated in her office was my favorite aspect of this Experience. The wait time, her lack of certainty regarding some Specifics of the practice, and oh yeah- THE WAIT TIME, substantially impacted my overall feelings and thoughts of this experience.
She was very nice and took the time to explain things that the other psychiatrist I had seen didn't. She also insisted I call my mom to find out what psychiatric medicine she took. She waited patiently while I called my mom on my cell phone.
