Dr. Padma Tummala has been recognized as a fellow by the American College of OB/GYN. She received her MBBS degree in New Delhi, India at Lady Harding Medical College where she pursued her MD Post studies in OB/GYN training. She did a transitional internship at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. Dr. Tummala did her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She joined Park Avenue Obstetrics and Gynecology in August, 1993. She is double board certified and provides comprehensive Gyn care including gynourology, hysteroscopy, advanced laparoscopy and robotics. Dr.Tummala is married and has a son and a daughter. Her hobbies include yoga, reading, and cooking.

I was nervous about this appointment with THIS doctor because of the reviews on here but I need to see a doctor asap. The reviews were wrong. She was kind and gentle. She was considerate of my fears of the reviews and my anxiety. She explained things no other doctor had before and she was more thorough then I expected. I'm so grateful!!

Laughed at my personal questions and didn’t cover my brand new perception and seemed annoyed when I had to ask for clarification. Made me so uncomfortable that I cried for the first time leaving the doctors office in my life. I had an awful experience.

This doctor was incredibly rough. Either she was trying to rush through my exam or she was trying to hurt me. She pressed on my abdomen and it hurt. She just said "sorry" and ignored that completely. What was she checking for if not to see if pressing on my abdomen would hurt? And if it did hurt why would that not concern her?

I do not recommend coming here. They were awful with communicating, invalidated everything I said, and would not allow me to explain my issues. The entire time I was there, I felt as if they were too rushed to see/hear me. This was my first ever gynecologist appointment which made me rightfully a bit nervous. They did nothing whatsoever to make me feel comfortable in this new situation. I was visibly uncomfortable during the visit and they gave no reassurance or communication. Please look elsewhere when making your appointment.

Doctor was great. I just feel I needed someone who was more compassionate and little better with listening. She did listen but was quick to tell me the solution to my problems. I felt that there was more to discuss and say to get to a solution so in my opinion I did feel a little disregarded. But other then that she had amazing bedside manner. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. The experience wasn’t bad but it wasn’t super amazing either.

Felt rushed once in the room. Was in there MAYBE 10 minutes from start to finish. Dr didn’t listen to anything I had to say, just kept cutting me off. Wanted to automatically put me on medication without knowing what the problem was.

The doctor did not listen to a word I said. She was incredibly dismissive of all of my questions and interrupted me before I could finish explaining why I was there. She seemed to be in a huge rush. It made me feel awful and I will never go back.

I have never felt so rushed at an appointment before. The dr answered her phone during my app & never finished answering my question. Very rushed. Not personal at all. I had so many questions & concerns & never got to ask. I was told medication would be filled, never got it. She didn’t write anything down, didn’t even do the whole annual exam. I was hoping with this place being voted #1 that it would be good. I was very wrong. Will not be back.

The doctor overall was fantastic. Literally the only doctor i know that takes the time to answer your questions and doesn’t rush you at all. One of the girls in from the front staff was rude to the girl that was helping me with something and i thought it was unprofessional but overall experience loved it all.

My visit at Dr Tummalas office was great, as far as doctor visits go. The waiting room was full, so I thought there would be quite a wait, but I showed up on time, filled out their questions via a tablet they provided me. I was seen in a timely fashion. Office girls were nice and attentive and kept the office flow moving quite efficiently. I would recommend this office definitely.

I am genuinely unsure of how this office maintains such a high review with how poor the conditions were. Not only was this place not accommodating to my situation, it was also the most chaotic experience I’ve ever had at a doctors office. I was met with very low wait times and quick admittance, which was nice, as was how quickly I was seen by the doctor, but I understood why that was very quickly, as the fast pace kept up in the doctor’s rapid fire questions that made me feel like I was being interrogated. It was an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience, especially as she was asking me basic care questions that should’ve been asked beforehand during my examination. And I’m not even kidding when I say she literally shouted out in surprise at some medical details I revealed. I felt on edge and uncomfortable throughout the entire experience. Then, I was made to wait forever while they tried to locate the person who was supposed to draw my blood and then I was taken to another room, which was piled with boxes and left over materials, so much so that I could barely sit down. It was all an extremely stressful ordeal and I would not recommend this to anyone who needs sensitive care from their Gynecologist.

overall not a good experience. Staff was not friendly except the checkout girl she was sweet. the doctor was in so much of a hurry to leave she opened the door while I was still naked on exam table with my naked crotch facing the door and opened this door to a hallway full of people.

The questionnaire for this office was so long, it was kind of ridiculous. They should require people to come more than 15 minutes ahead of appointments. My appointment seemed to be pushed back, because it took awhile to fill out the questionnaire, which the doctor didn’t even reference. No one looked at my completed paperwork which included a “yes” answer I gave for a specific test. I was, subsequently, not given that test. The doctor seemed distracted and went to begin my exam before realizing I wasn’t in the hospital gown. She had me change and was gone for at least 10 minutes while I changed, which was too long. She didn’t close the door all the way, so I thought she was coming right back. When she came back, she got right down to the exam - no warmness or feedback. Then she left without saying if I needed to stay or could go. It was a confusing and cold interaction. It’s like she didn’t even care if I had any concerns since I said the reason I was there was for a pap smear. That’s literally all she did without asking anything about me even though it was my first visit. I won’t be back.

After switching to a new OBGYN due to a very terrible experience at my prior OBGYN, this was like a breath of fresh air. She was professional and explained all my options I had following a missed miscarriage. She cared about how I felt and made sure all my questions were answered. The rest of the staff were very kind as well, from the ultrasound technician to the nurse I met with. Definitely will be sticking with this OBGYN for future pregnancies.
