“I work as a railroader and years on the job wrecked my neck and lower back. Climbing in and out of the cab, the constant vibration, and hauling equipment left me with chronic pain that ran from my neck into my shoulder and down into my lower back and left leg. I was popping ibuprofen just to finish a shift and I was waking up stiff every morning.
Dr. Montesano sat with my MRI and told me straight, you have a herniated disc at L4 L5 and wear in your neck from the job, we do not have to jump to surgery. He said start with injections and see how you respond. He did a cervical epidural and a lumbar epidural a couple weeks apart. After the back injection the burning down my leg eased within a few days, and after the neck one I could turn my head to check the track again without that sharp catch. I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER. “I had an AMAZING experience with Dr. Montesano!!
Dr. Montesano actually sat with my MRI and pointed out the herniation at L4 L5 instead of rushing me. He said we should try injections before talking about surgery. He did a lumbar epidural steroid injection, and within a few days the sharp pain down my leg eased up a lot. I still had some stiffness, so he followed that with a second set of facet injections a few weeks later.
After that second round I could drive again without stopping to stretch, and I started sleeping through the night.He was straight with me about what the injections could and could not do, and the staff got me in without a long wait once they saw the accident records. I am not pain free, but I feel so much better than I did when I walked in. I can work a full day and walk the dog without that burning down my leg. If you are dealing with back pain after a wreck and want someone who will try the less invasive stuff first, I would go see him.

I came in for neck pain that had been building for years from sitting at a desk all day. Turning my head to check a lane was getting hard and the ache was running into my shoulder.
Dr. Montesano looked at my films, explained the disc issue in plain language, and did a cervical epidural injection the same week. The relief was real. I could drive and sleep on my side again within a few days.
They took my ins with no hassle and I PAID NOTHING out of pocket. Front desk handled the authorization and I never got a surprise bill. He was straightforward, did not rush me into surgery, and the whole visit felt easy. If you have neck issues I do highly recommend him for you, neck and back. He is absolutely great and one of the best doctors ive been to. Also the facility and staff are nice.

I saw Dr. Montesano after a car accident left me with bad lower back pain that ran down my leg. He did not push surgery. He gave me BACK INJECTIONS and within a few days the sharp pain eased up a lot. I can sit through a workday and sleep through the night again. I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER. If you need real relief after a wreck or whatever with back/spine pain, go see him.
