What should a new client know about working with you?

I truly love working with people, and that passion shows in the care I provide. I have dedicated more than 25 years of my life to the nursing profession, and my goal is to spend the next 25 years helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and improve their mental and emotional well-being. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns without fear of judgment. I believe that effective mental health care begins with listening and understanding each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. During our visits, we will work together to develop a treatment plan that supports your overall well-being. This may include medication management, supportive guidance, and practical strategies to help you manage stress, anxiety, mood concerns, and other life challenges. My goal is not only to help reduce symptoms but also to empower you with the tools, insight, and confidence needed to live a healthier and more fulfilling life

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the first visit, I conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to better understand your symptoms, history, and treatment goals. We will discuss your current concerns, past mental health treatment, medical history, and lifestyle factors that may be affecting your well-being. If medication is appropriate, we will review options together and develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs. I also provide supportive guidance and practical strategies to help you manage stress, mood, and daily challenges. Follow-up visits focus on monitoring progress, adjusting medications if needed, and continuing supportive discussion to help you move toward improved mental health and stability. My goal is to provide care in a collaborative, respectful, and non-judgmental environment.

More information on payments and coverage

Understanding insurance coverage can sometimes feel confusing, and I strive to make the process as transparent and straightforward as possible for my patients. I currently accept several insurance plans, and the amount you pay for visits will depend on your individual insurance benefits. Most insurance plans include components such as copays, deductibles, or coinsurance. A copay is a fixed amount you pay for each visit. A deductible is the amount you must pay out of pocket before your insurance begins to cover services. Coinsurance means your insurance covers a percentage of the visit cost, and you are responsible for the remaining portion. Before your first appointment, we can verify your insurance benefits to help estimate your potential out-of-pocket costs. Please keep in mind that the information provided by insurance companies is an estimate, and the final cost is determined by your insurance provider once the claim is processed. Payment is typically collected at the time of service based on the estimated patient responsibility. If insurance processes the claim differently than expected, any remaining balance or credit will be communicated promptly. For patients who prefer not to use insurance or who have out-of-network benefits, self-pay options may also be available. I aim to keep my services accessible and will always discuss costs openly so you can make informed decisions about your care. If you have questions about your coverage, benefits, or payment options, please feel free to reach out. My goal is to ensure you feel informed and comfortable throughout the process so you can focus on what matters most—your mental health and well-being.
