Dr. Patrick Hsu grew up in Short Hills, New Jersey and began his training at Rutgers College where he received a Bachelor of Science and then received a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Albany Medical College. Dr. Hsu received his Medical Degree from UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he graduated as President of his class and with highest honors and distinction, including receiving the Rudolph Camishon Award for Academic Excellence in Surgery and being named Alpha Omega Alpha for excellence in scholarship and the highest ideals in the profession of medicine.
Following medical school graduation, Dr. Hsu attended the prestigious Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Hsu has been helping me with a breast reconstruction following cancer. I had some serious complications following chemo and radiation and he followed me all through those. Rather than rush me through reconstruction, he gave me time to heal and developed a particular course of reconstruction not only addressed the problems I had had, but also my expectations from the surgery. He has been immediately responsive to my every need, is a consummate professional and does beautiful work.

I am a breast reconstruction patient and I've had some complications from my cancer treatment. As a result, I have limited tolerance for antibiotics. Dr. Hsu has worked so hard to reconstruct the damage caused by cancer treatment given the need to limit antibiotics. He found a way - a way I am very happy with - without causing more problems along the way. He is professional, and nice, and caring - and appreciates that the reconstructive work is very important to the patient.

Dr. Patrick Hsu is wonderful! The wait was long only because he had an extra long surgery that was unexspected. I would want him to have that same dedication when my operation takes place.
