Dr. Alleyne earned his undergraduate degree from Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi. He completed his medical degree in New England, at Brown University Medical School, located in Providence, Rhode Island.
After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Alleyne moved south again, to Nashville, Tennessee to complete a residency in Family and Community Medicine at Meharry Medical College. During his final year of training, Dr. Alleyne served as chief resident.
Before joining the team at ANWAN Wellness Medical Center, Dr. Alleyne performed multiple medical missions throughout Africa, the Caribbean, and Central America.
Dr. Alleyne believes in the power of education to help you achieve success in all areas of life. He gets this belief from his father, a dentist. During his youth and adolescence, his father instilled in Dr. Alleyne the drive to pursue learning and use his knowledge to make a positive impact on the lives of those around him.
In 2015, VItals rewarded Dr. Alleyne with a Compassionate Doctor Certificate, as well as a Patients’ Choice Award. When he’s not caring for patients in the office, Dr. Alleyne enjoys traveling.
