Dr. Paul DeFrino is a fellowship trained Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon. He has been in practice since 1999, concentrating on the surgical care of his patients as well as conservative, non-surgical approaches to his patients’ needs.
Dr. DeFrino graduated from Columbia University in New York City, majoring in political science and pre-medical studies. He went to medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago. After receiving his medical degree, he completed a five year orthopaedic residency at Northwestern University. He then went on to do a 1 year fellowship for specialized training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Baylor University in Dallas, Texas. Dr. DeFrino is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. DeFrino has worked at Parkview Orthopaedics for over 10 years. He has extensive experience in managing complex patient needs. He cares for patients with a range of orthopedic needs which include bunion and hammer toe surgeries, as well as complex fracture management and ankle replacement. He also cares for patients with work and sports related injuries. Dr. DeFrino approaches orthopaedic treatment in a comprehensive manner, working closely with a specialized team of nurses and physical therapists to return his patients to an active lifestyle.
