Dr. Paul E. Free received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham (UAB). He completed his surgical internship and residency in otolaryngology at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) in Augusta.
Dr. Free is double board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and in Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.
Dr. Free’s special areas of interest include: Nasal and Sinus Disorders including Minimally Invasive Treatments / Balloon Sinuplasty, Sleep Apnea including Office Based Treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Allergy Treatment including skin testing, allergy shots and allergy drops. Treatment of Vocal Cord Dysfunction and Vocal Cord Paralysis. General Otolaryngology for patients of all ages.

As doctors go, Dr Free was easy to talk to and I think he listened. He did set me up for a hearing test in a couple of weeks which is something I have needed for a while. I will follow up with him at that time.

I booked this appointment the day of. I was seen by Dr.Free. Other than the pretty lengthy wait time, I feel that this appointment went well. The staff was very friendly. The office was very tidy and I could see that the room had been sanitized right before I entered. Dr.Free was very professional and knowledgeable. I was so surprised. I was told to wear a mask which I did. I cam out of my visit and there were 10 elderly patients sitting with no mask on. Just thought what is wrong with this picture.
