Dr. Piper graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he was awarded the prestigious O. Roger Hollan award for outstanding patient care. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Piper went on to complete extended specialty training at UT Southwestern in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism. In 2011, Dr. Piper was selected to become a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, recognizing his outstanding work in internal medicine & endocrinology.
Dr. Piper has extensive experience helping solve complicated endocrine problems. He previously worked as an attending physician at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He also served as the Medical Director of the Diabetes Clinic at the Collin County Adult Clinic in Plano, Texas.
Dr. Piper believes in bringing state-of-the-art care to his patients. He is an active member of American College of Physicians, Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the American Diabetes Association.
When he’s not helping patients, Dr. Piper enjoys spending time with his family.
