Dr. Birk asked about my symptoms and my attitude toward my medical problems, and actually listened to and absorbed my answers and followed up with more questions to pinpoint the problem. He discussed several alternatives with me and explained what the expected outcome would be and the risks of each. A very thorough conversation that left me feeling confident in the course of action we agreed to.

A little slower than what I'm used to from my experience with other doctors, but it was a very nice change of pace. And, the individualized attention during the appointment was excellent, I've never experienced such attention to detail from a doctor. It was nice that he was trying to understand my overall health in relation to my current ailment, as opposed to just jumping straight to a diagnosis without all the information.

Dr.Birk is very thorough and accurate. He has a wonderful bedside manner, however half of the time you spend with him he will be entering your basic information into the computer. I was there for an initial visit that took 2.5 hours because most of the time was spent on him entering my information into the computer. His estimated time to do a physical is 3 hours! It just took way to long overall and I don't think I will be going back.

Excellent. Dr. Birk takes time to understand concerns, and any questions related to your office visit. He shares his experience and, (from my personal experience), answers questions related to your office visit in a humerus but very matter of fact fashion. After encounters with other physicians with rock like personalities, it was with great relief (right away!) to find Dr. Birk. I have found a physician who knows me as a person, and treats me as if I've been a patient since he began his career.
