More about Dr. Peter Kakavas, MD
Dr. Peter Kakavas earned his undergraduate degree in Biology at Benedictine University. He received his M.D. degree in 1989, at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. Following residency training in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University, Dr. Kakavas completed his cardiology fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center, where he completed an additional year of specialty training in echocardiography, nuclear imaging and vascular noninvasive imaging. He has Level III certification in coronary and peripheral Computed Tomographic Angiography (CTA), a new alternative to invasive catheterization.

Wait time was about 1-2min. Wait time in room was only 1-2min. All questions were answered & dr. is very knowledgeable in all areas. Would definitely recommend to family & friends.

Dr. Kakavas is an extremely respectable physician. He has a great bed side manner & will address all your questions & concerns. He never makes you feel "rushed" during your appointment. He made me feel "safe" during my procedure. I was in good hands. Thanks Dr. Kakavas!
