Dr. Lasater is originally from Grand Rapids, MI. He attended college at Baylor University and then earned his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State/Spectrum Health, Grand Rapids, Michigan. A fellowship followed in orthopedic sports medicine at TRIA Orthopedic Center and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. During his time there, he assisted in providing sports medicine coverage for the Minnesota Twins, the ESPN X-games, local area high schools, and a regional junior hockey league team.
While obtaining his undergraduate degree at Baylor University, Dr. Lasater received the Provost’s scholarship, was a member of several academic honor societies, was routinely on the Dean’s List, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While attending Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Lasater received the Palmer Scholarship Award in Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Lasater’s hobbies include activities such as traveling, exercise, basketball, and spending time with family. He also enjoys watching college sports such as football and basketball, especially for his alma mater, Baylor University.
