Dr. Rouvelas was running a little late, but that does not seem to be the norm (talked to other patients in the waiting room). Once I went in and talked to him, I was pleased to find that he believes in both the correct medication and holistic approaches to patient care. I got very good advice on the medications I am currently taking, and we discussed natural ways to help me sleep better (I'm against taking sleep aids).
He takes the patient's entire lifestyle into account, really listens and takes his time with you. He takes all kinds of insurance plans. I'm glad I found him on ZocDoc. He's my new primary care doc, and I'm very picky about these things.

1) The first thing I noticed when I walked in was a really nice and friendly. (From my experience, that's rare around these parts.)
2) There were 5 others ahead of me when I got there so the wait time was rather lengthy, but I brought reading material and anticipated a lengthy stay. (At my prior doctors office the wait time was always longer and the staff was always in a miserable mood.) The amount of time may have seemed excessive to others but it was made up for by the staff and Dr. Rouvelas.
3) Doctor Rouvelas is excellent! He was attentive, thorough, he wrote everything down, didn't try to rush me out, has a holistic approach which is refreshing, and seemed quite genuine. As for his field knowledge, he's certainly seems to be at the top of his game!
4) If you're looking for a great doctor, go find somewhere else. I don't need you cutting into my time!!! I was here first!!!

This guy cares. He'll go to bat for you with the insurance companies, and he tells it like it is! I especially appreciate the wholistic approach, integrating diet, Rx's, and psychological well being.

I visited this clinic out of convenience because they are in the neighborhood but otherwise i would have never gone there, the staff can be very unprofessional, and the doctor does not return your phone call, I have been waiting for my bld results for 2 weeks now and the receptionist keep telling me the only way to speak with him is to make an appointment. Once I receive me results I will have nothing more to do with this clinic.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Rouvelas. His assistant was very warm and friendly; very attentive. Dr. Rouvelas was very courteous and checked-in with me before his next patient to let me know he would see me shortly.
When I finally met with him it was a very positive, warm and caring experience. I really liked his overall approach as wholistic doctor. He asked me several questions, that most doctors don't generally ask. He really was concerned and took his time to learn more about me.
He explained his background, his experience and how he's going to help me.
I was so happy because he took his time. I didn't feel rushed. He wasn't looking at a clock or watch. He generally wanted to make sure he had enough info on me to formulate a plan that meets my needs.
I highly recommend him for his professionalism. But I'd like to keep him to myself. Hahaa. :-)
