Dr. Rubin has been practicing gastroenterology in New York City since 1975. He served as co-director of the Gastrointestinal Endsocopy Unit, President of the Association of Attending Staff and Chairman of the Medical Board at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he is actively involved in educating fellows, residents and medical students. He has been the primary investigator or co-author of numerous pivotal publications in fields including inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease & ulcerative colitis), colorectal cancer and gastrointestinal endoscopy. He has lectured widely on the subjects of inflammatory bowel disease, colonoscopy and colon cancer prevention. Most recently he co-authored "Practical Colonoscopy", a textbook which aims to teach colonoscopy to other doctors.
