He's hilarious! Was a first time patient, went in for a sprained ankle. I didn't have to wait too long to be seen, maybe 7-8 minutes (including the time it took for me to fill out the initial paperwork). The doctor was very warm and friendly and stressed the importance of being open and discussing things throughout the appointment. I felt very at ease with him.

I have never had an experience like the experience I had with Dr. Schlesinger. He crossed the line multiple times of slightly inappropriate to downright disgusting. Some highlights from my visit include him getting a female "chaperon" when he performed my breast exam during a physical so I would be confident, and I quote that he "will not be raping me." He also informed me that I'm a 9, but would be a 10 only if my teeth were perfectly straight and had gotten braces. Upon inquiry about my family history, he claimed that all the "Polaks and Irish get together just because they're catholic." He also went on a tirade against homosexuals, letting me know his very unwanted opinion that he doesn't believe that men can marry men and call them their husbands. Furthermore, whenever referring to female doctors, he would say "She's a lady doctor, but she does well..." He was rude, misogynistic, and completely inappropriate. I don't know how he's come this far in life while still keeping his medical license.

I went and saw Dr Schlesinger for my green card/immigration consultation and examination. He was nice and pleasant. His staff were very friendly and both explained what was required from me and for what purpose. He is a kind man and likes to joke around to make you feel at ease. I've read some of his previous reviews and can see how some people have misconstrued his jokes and comments as inappropriate, but I didn't have a problem with him and had a laugh along the way. His nurse/receptionist is especially lovely. It's important to read up on what is required before you go for a green card examination, as it will save you (and the Dr) time. Take what immunization records you have and be sure to remember after the TB test, you have to go back in 72hrs for the follow up, so be sure you keep that in mind when booking your appointment. But I would recommend him for sure.

Double-billing issues, unresponsive via email (even though they claim email is a good way to contact them), disorganized with referrals. Not personally a fan of his bedside manner as I felt a little awkward with the way he said some medical opinions/recommendations (not inappropriate, just made me feel uncomfortable).

Couldn't have picked a better Dr. for my USCIS medical exam. Very thorough, friendly and professional. The staff is very friendly as well. I was seen within just a few minutes of arriving at the office. I would definitely recommend this Dr. to anyone looking.

He seems to know his stuff, but was not great with personal space awareness. This is also a sole practice so there are no nurses or other doctors if that is important to you.

this practice has no bells and whistles, which i actually like -- no need to waste money as long as my doctor takes care of me. Dr. S is very knowledgable, spends full visit time with the patient, and you never feel rushed out. is frank and honest, which is always to the benefit of the patient. would definitely recommend.

I was taken in quickly, and given time to explain why I had come. Dr. Schlesinger listened to me, addressed my concerns, examined me, and answered my questions. I didn't feel rushed at all, and I was taken care of well.

After trying to find a new primary for so long I made an appointment with Dr. Schlesinger using Zoc Doc. At first glance I was already thinking that this appointment be a one and done scenario. After sitting down and talking with the Doctor it became blatantly obvious that this was a physcian who knew what he was talking about, treated his patients with respect and didn't have the "God" complex so many physcians display these days. I would definitely recommend Dr. Schesinger.

Dr. Schlesinger is very sharp, funny, and empathetic. He's incredibly old-school in his approach and is very thorough. He spends as much time is necessary with you. Small practices like his are worth supporting. Quality care all around.

Been going to Dr. Schlesinger for over ten years, and he really goes over my file in advance of each visit. I had almost forgotten about my broken wrist of 2000 until he checked in on my range of motion. He's always very accommodating getting me in for emergencies, and though it may not a necessity for a good doctor, it's nice that he's got a good personality and an abundance of jokes and quips (some funnier than others) to make me feel comfortable.
