the wait time was a little bit longer than i would have wanted for a pediatrician. i was just grateful they saw us, since for some reason, a lot of doctors wouldn't take us since we were only going to be temporarily living in GA, but our baby was a new born and needed to be seen.

This was our first visit with Dr. Strauss. My 6 year old son was quite nervous about his visit, but Dr. Strauss was excellent at calming his nerves and making him feel comfortable. By the time we were done, my son was actually smiling! Dr. Strauss was also great about answering all of my questions without making me feel rushed. So nice to find a great pediatrician! The staff was also very friendly and kind, lots of smiles and laughter!

Dr. Strauss was raised in Livingston, New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate degree at Haverford College in Pennsylvania, where he competed on the track and cross country teams and helped the “Fords” win 11 conference championships. After graduating with Phi Beta Kappa honors, he went on to earn his medical degree at New York University, and then completed his pediatric residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.
Dr Strauss spent five years as a primary care pediatrician in the Bronx where he gained invaluable experience working with culturally diverse, inner city families. He furthermore acquired a strong proficiency in Spanish. Dr. Strauss relocated to Atlanta in 2008 in search of milder winters and a more relaxed southern lifestyle.
He has since worked as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University. He continues to teach residents and students while working in the Emergency Department at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Dr. Strauss now considers metro Atlanta home, and is proud to have joined the Kennesaw Pediatrics team. Board Certified in Pediatrics since 2003, he is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has special interests in Asthma, Obesity, and Developmental Disabilities. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking with his dog, and playing his violin.
