Philip Heyman, M.D., senior partner, has been with Hand Surgery Associates since 1991. He is an orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgeon who received his medical training at the NYU School of Medicine and completed a residency at the NYU Medical Center. In order to complete the specialized training for hand and upper extremity surgery, he then moved onto a prestigious fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard. Dr. Heyman received his certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1993, with an additional Certificate in Added Qualification in Hand Surgery (CAQSH) in 1994. He has a number of affiliations with professional organizations, such as the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Rocky Mountain Hand Surgery Society, and the Colorado Medical Society. the only thing we didnt like is the wait time , we arrived 20 minutes early and we had to wait about 50 minutes until we saw him , he is a very good doctor , explained side effects of treatment , surgical options very well , he was not annoyed with our little daughter , in fact, he was really nice and made her feel like a real doctor by showing her the MRI scans and asking her what she thinks !

This was one of the most professional staffs from beginning to end that I have ever encountered. The wait, (less than 30 minutes) wasn't a negative thing for me. It gave me an opportunity to witness how the other patients were treated. I was impressed, and it put me at ease.

Excellent care - my son was hurt & was able to get in & be seen the same day. Dr. Heyman reviewed xrays & determined surgery was needed. Dr. Heyman explained the procedure thoroughly. Surgery was scheduled for next day. Dr. Heyman was caring & friendly. Excellent post-op care.

Dr. Heyman came over from another clinic to treat men. Stitched me up in his minor procedure room within 1 hr of my injury. Very funny guy - Explained everything while he was doing it.

Dr. Heyman was very contemplative about my daughter's care. He was careful to explain his methods and plan and was obviously concerned about my daughter's reactions and pain level. I would highly recommend him to others.
