Pouru Bhiwandi, MD, FACOG, MSPH
Dr. Bhiwandi is in private practice in gynecology and is the Director of GYN Center For Women, PA. She has been practicing medicine in Raleigh, N.C., since 1988. She is an Adjunct Professor, Department of Maternal and Child Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is actively involved in the educational programs. She serves on the Board of Directors and is a consultant to several international health organizations.
Dr. Bhiwandi was formerly the Medical Director of Family Health International, which has research and public health projects in over 40 countries. She is the recipient of many awards and honors. Dr. Bhiwandi is currently conducting clinical research studies in reproductive health. She has published extensively, co-authored three books, and lectured all over the U.S. and the world.
