Dr. Sharma explained my diagnosis and took the time to answer any questions that my wife and I asked.

Dr. Sharma was very friendly and personable he explained things to me thoroughly and made me feel comfortable. I am glad I came!! The wait was a little long, but he had an emergency procedure earlier that day- so I was tended to as soon as I could be. The office ladies were great as well and explained things to me (in regards to insurance)

Dr. Shirley Harris and staff are pleased to announce that Prashant Sharma, M.D. joined our practice on July 1, 2013. Dr. Sharma earned his medical degree at M.S. University Medical College in Vadodara, India and completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at NY Methodist Hospital. He also completed the course of study for a Master of Public Health degree at Northern Illinois University. Dr. Sharma is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board eligible in Gastroenterology. Dr. Sharma has participated in various research studies related to gastrointestinal diseases, receiving the Charles Cherubin Research Award in 2008 and has published his work in various medical journals. He has a special interest in Hepatology. He speaks several regional Indian languages such as Gujrati, Punjabi and Hindi. Dr. Sharma is married with three children and enjoys tennis in his spare time.
We welcome Dr. Sharma to our practice and the DeKalb Medical community, where he is credentialed at North Decatur and Hillandale. He will be a valuable addition to both the practice and the community at large.
