Dr. Rachel Beda is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. She joined the Wise Patient Internal Medicine team in the winter of 2014. She received her medical degree in 2001 from the University of Washington, and completed a residency in Internal Medicine (with a focus in Primary Care) also from the University of Washington. She spent the next 7 years working as a supervising physician in the Harborview Emergency Department, where she and Dr. Warren (Medical Director of Wise Patient Internal Medicine) were colleagues. From 2010-2015, she worked at Pike Market Clinic, providing primary care to people from all walks of life, including Seattle’s homeless.
Dr. Beda has 7 years of experience in providing hormone therapy and gender-affirming care, via the informed-consent model for transgender and non-binary patients. She is a PrEP provider.
She is also board-eligible in Obesity Medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Beda is married with two children. She enjoys singing pop songs (badly) with her kids, trail running with her mutt Willie, and road trips with the whole family.

I really like dr. Beda. She is very responsive and asks a lot of questions. I can also tell she truly listens to what I have to say. I don't think I've fully resolved everything, but this was the first time a doctor has taken the time to test me for multiple hormone levels and areas of concern. She's also extremely quick to respond via their online system if you have any miscellaneous questions that don't require a visit. She seems to be passionate about her field and goes to seminars and conventions often to continue her education, which is honorable as I believe the medical industry is always changing and improving.
