More about Rachel Hinnen, LAc
Rachel (she/her) has a special interest in the anatomy the body as well as the body’s hierarchy of needs when it comes to treatments. This deep understanding guides her on how to help the patient’s body release tension more effectively- resulting in pain relief, increased functional ability, and less tension and stress.
Rachel is experienced at treating a wide variety of conditions including anxiety, musculoskeletal pain, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, and trouble sleeping.
Rachel has extensive training in Shiatsu massage and enjoys incorporating Shiatsu and bodywork into her treatments. Rachel has also completed several courses through the Barral institute in neural and visceral manipulation. Through this background Rachel has a strong understanding and respect for the interconnection of the body systems. Her treatments are based in acknowledging the body’s innate ability to heal itself and enabling it to do so in the most effective way.
Rachel is a Licensed Acupuncturist by the Oregon Medical Board and holds a Masters Degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. Rachel believes in individualizing treatments and her intuitive nature allows her to tailor her treatment style to best suit the unique needs of an individual patient. Treatments are tailored to be deeper, stronger needling, or more superficial gentle needling, based on the conditions and patients’ constitution.
When not treating patients, Rachel enjoys raising her cows, hiking, biking, swimming, skiing, cooking and her tuxedo cat.
