Dr. Rao grew up in Huntsville, Alabama and completed her undergraduate studies at Emory University. She graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was in the medical school honor society Sigma Sigma Psi, and completed her residency training at the University of Massachusetts in family medicine. Dr. Rao then returned to the South where she joined Cobb Medical Associates. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Rao is board certified in Family Practice and treats patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. She believes that health care is both a right and a responsibility. I enjoyed my visit. I hope to make Dr. Rao my primary care physician. The office is really nice. I appreciated her honesty when I informed her of the issues I had been dealing with. I knew they were minor, but she didn't treat me like I was crying over something you just slap a band aid on.

We just moved from out of state and looking for a new family Doctor. Dr Rao was great seeing me and was wonderful interacting with my children. The staff at the office are also very nice and answered all of my questions.
