It was my first time visit. I chose Dr. Rahul according to the reviews here and on Yelp. He indeed is very nice and professional, and with first check up, he knew right away what could be the issue. Sent me for some tests that were in the office next door, so I didn't have to make new appointments. The tests proved he was right, and requested further scanning that his office didn't provide. I thought I had to deal with another hospital and explain what I needed, scans, labs ( even tho I barely understand all these medical names), but right after I was checking out, I got a phone call from the office for scans what time would I like to make an appointment. They already had all my information about the check up at Dr. Rahul's office, what is needed to be done and that they accept my insurance! I just need to say the time when, and all is set up! Amazing. As for the waiting time, I was on time but still had to wait for about 30min. Meanwhile had to fill in the form about the medical history so that pretty much fulfilled my time. The ladies at the desk very pretty funny and patient with my questions what is what and what should I do.

Dr. Dixit was educated at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine. He completed a double fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Miami and Hepatology/Liver Transplant at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is double Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
While in school, Rahul Dixit began accumulating honors including the Maryland School of Medicine Distinguished Medical Student Service Award. He graduated in the top 1 percent of his undergraduate class and was a Phi Beta Kappa Award winner. With all of his impressive academic achievements, he stands apart in his willingness to serve and help others. He organized an Earthquake Relief Clothing Drive after a devastating earthquake in India, volunteered as a physician's assistant in Africa and volunteers his time as a tutor and a construction worker. Dr Dixit exemplifies the spirit of helping and healing that we look for in our team members.

I don't feel that he took my concerns seriously. I was at the counter at the time he called to see if his appointment was in. For the time it takes me to drive to that area, and for him being a professional, I was not pleased with my visit

He's the best doctor I've had in a while. He makes appropriate light of situations, and is fun to talk to. It makes the whole experience of going to the doctor... enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Very nice physician. I am disturbed on two counts. 1) he knew absolutely nothing about a condition I disclosed on the forms. Then he suggested the exact opposite of what my condition calls for, not once, but twice before it got through to him how far-off he was. Now I am cancelling because I don't trust the other procedural decision he needs to make (the type of iv fluid). I didn't get the impression he's going to study up on it, to make sure he gets it right. 2) My extreme sensitivity to an ingredient in the prep liquids (laxative agents) was met with the same lack of focus. It was left to me to determine what what options I had with the prep liquids, or even if they included the problem ingredient. Then he made the absurd assertion that there's nothing really absorbed from the laxative agents. The prescribed agent is made with saccharine, which produces a horrible migraine for me. Imagine if I were a young, trusting patient, accepted his absurd assertion, then had to suffer? He was very nice, but if I were a physician, I would certainly take the time to determine whether the prescribed prep liquid contained the intolerable ingredient -- but he left it up to me!

If you could rate a doctor 10 stars on here, Dr. Dixit is worth that and more.
I came to him after getting a flare-up of my ulcerative colitis. We went through test after test to find out what was going on, where it was, and how to treat it. If Dr. Dixit saw something on a test that he wanted to check out more... he did... and even referred me to other amazing doctors who could help further. His professionalism and level of care are incredible. This man took time out to call me after hours and even on weekends to see how I was doing. He treated me like a member of his own family - what more could you want? I've seen many doctors in my lifetime, many even in the past four months, and I can honestly say I thank god everyday for Dr. Dixit. I know that I wouldn't be in remission right now if it weren't for him.
