Dr. Raj Panchal is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist with a focus in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. He believes in the tenets of aggressive diagnosis and conservative management to support an individual’s recovery and promote an active and healthy lifestyle. His goal is to help patients find non-operative solutions to reduce pain and restore function. He believes in the body’s ability to heal itself and tries to provide patients with holistic knowledge to support that. He is trained in performing trigger point injections, image-guided joint injections, electrodiagnostic studies, ultrasound based exams and medical acupuncture.
Dr. Panchal completed his residency training at the renowned NYU Langone Health Rusk Rehabilitation, where he served as Chief Resident, among numerous other leadership roles. During his time there he contributed a book chapter to the Springer textbook, Regenerative Medicine: A Complete Guide. He has volunteered his time for numerous sports medical coverage opportunities over the last few years, including the TCS NYC Marathon for the last three years, and a variety of collegiate sporting events.
He is a New Jersey native, having attended high school at the prestigious Bergen County Academies. He went on to complete a combined 7-year Accelerated B.S./D.O program via SUNY New Paltz and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then trained at Westchester General Hospital in Miami, Fl for his one year medical internship.
Dr. Panchal has played sports his whole life with interests in basketball, football, and running. In his free time, he enjoys reading, running, visiting museums and exploring the culinary scene of New York City. He is fluent in Gujarati and basic medical Spanish.

If you've ever met the doctor's assistants from my hometown, you'd understand why going to the doctor isn't at the top of my list when I get hurt. Unlike my past experiences, these doctor's assistants are so sweet and amicable, I felt very welcome. Didn't wait too long, all staff are wonderful. I met the x-ray technician and obviously the doctor as well, both experiences were lovely! Dr. Panchal is super helpful. I appreciated his in-depth explanations of what was going on in my x-rays as well as letting me know all my options. He is very respectful and understanding, giving me tips on lifestyle changes to help my neck pain, stretches I could consider, and identifying the other issues I had not been made aware of by previous medical professionals. 100% recommend!!

Today Dr. Raj Panchal went above and beyond in his care for me. I am truly blessed to have him as my physiatrist. His X-ray assistant is wonderful , too, and took great care of me. I had issues with my lower back and he suggested PT exercises.

The x-ray tech wanted me to sit on a broken chair on wheels low to the ground when I could barely walk. I was in so much pain , then the guy wanted me to stand up in a position like the Statue of Liberty ,I almost passed out from the pain!!! No consideration for the patient. Didn't ask if I was in pain, or anything else about the pain. Everything I was told there was the same as asking Google. All basic text book stretching. It's the final day of the treatment I was put on with steroids and I'm still in pain. Not going back...
