Dr. Mehta was born in Winnipeg, Canada, he grew up in Houston and is a graduate of Memorial High School. He joined Memorial City Cardiology in 1998. He has expertise in all aspects of Cardiology with special interest in high blood pressure, cholesterol disorders, coronary artery disease, and heart failure. Dr. Mehta is trained in cardiac special procedures, including coronary angiography and angioplasty, pacemaker insertion and transesophageal echocardiography. His main research has been in cardiac imaging and he has several publications on echocardiography. Dr. Mehta places special emphasis on patient education.

I first saw Dr. Mehta about 12 years ago and was impressed with him back then. I have not needed a cardiologist until now. Again, the same exceptional service, manners and care provided. I highly recommend Dr. Mehta to the global community in which we live. Though I had a wait time, having such a professional as he is, it is worth the wait.

I was experiencing chest pain/pressure with simple exertion. It took less than one week, from the time of my first appointed stress test until I was scheduled for an angiogram. Now, one week after the procedure in which 90% blockage of my right carotid artery was found and a stent was installed, I have had a follow up exam and have already been back to work this past week, feeling like a new person. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Mehta and his staff.
