Our practice specializes in disorders of the spine and total joint replacement. Your spine is at the center of a delicately balanced system that controls all of your body’s movements. Bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves work together to balance and bear the weight of your body. Any damage to any one of these components of your back’s structure can upset this fragile balance and make movement not only painful but also difficult and even seemingly impossible. The same applies to an arthritic hip or knee. These are the major weight-bearing joints in the body and arthritis can not only severely deform them, but also alter their function and cause debilitating pain and immobility.
We treat disorders of the entire spine, including the neck to the tailbone. Ram Mudiyam, MD is fellowship trained in spine surgery and specializes in back strains, spinal fractures, arthritis, herniated disks and scoliosis. Additionally, for our patients with moderate to severe arthritis, he performs total knee and total hip replacement surgery.
