About Dr. Randolph Taylor II
Randolph Taylor II, MD, FAAFP a practicing primary care and sports medicine physician. He practices in East Point at Morehouse HealthCare. Dr. Taylor earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine as well as, completed residency in Family Medicine at Womack Army Medical Center in Ft. Bragg, NC. He received his primary care sports medicine fellowship training from Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. He has served as the team physician for the University of South Florida, Eckerd College, and Houston Baptist University athletics. Served as Finish Line Medical Captain for the Houston Marathon. He has provided coverage as a ringside physician for USA boxing, professional boxing, and mixed martial arts.
He currently treats acute injuries and chronic medical disease and is comfortable with Women’s and Men’s health issues. He is interested in concussion management, treating musculoskeletal injuries, combative sports, and innovative nontraditional methods of advancing health care.
He provides medical coverage for high school and community sporting events. He treats weekend warrior, youth, and professional athlete. He found his way into medicine through a combination of a strong interest in science and a love of sports. His diverse background includes providing, outpatient and battlefield medical care as a staff physician to soldiers, their families, and veterans during his military service. While on active duty, Dr. Taylor completed a combat tour in Iraq supporting Operation New Dawn. He also held the position of medical director, for the Warrior Transition Battalion at Ft. Campbell, KY. Dr. Taylor received an honorable discharge at the rank of Major from the United States Army in 2013.
