Verified Patient Reviews
He didn't rush through the appointment, was thorough and very attentive. Did not dismiss my concerns or my complaints on what was hurting. I felt comfortable and he discussed alternatives to my treatment and options.
Dr. Evan's and his staff are very professional and pleasant. Highly recommend.
I have been seeing Dr. Evans for 17 years. He is the best.
typical physician in that customer service is on the bottom of the list. He is a nice enough guy, but time is not a factor in his thinking or how he runs his office.
He is an extremely smart doctor and diagnosed my issue right away. Thanks so much!!!
Great Very professional Highly recommend him
Dr. Evans was direct and efficient. He certainly knew his subject matter and was eager to help me.
He is always very curtious and thorough listening closely to the patient. He takes great notes in each visit.
He was very informative. And asked questions that others have not ever asked me. Gave me different options for treatment.
Excellent, Very Helpful, Professional.
Dr. Evans is excellent. He has treated me for about 3-4 years now and I wouldn't go to another dr. I would definitely recommend him. He listens and really comes up with the best treatment options for me that work. His staff has also always been very helpful - which I have to say is a definite plus. I help my mother with all of her appointments and the competency of so many office staff or the arrogance of some of them is unbelievable. His staff has always been just great.
He seemed very smart .
My visit with Dr. Randolph Evans was wonderful. He was so affirming of my progress in 4 weeks. Headaches gone, dizziness treated positively, hearing back, depression gone; anxiety re vehicle dangers normal, I suffered a terrible blow to my whole body, esp my brain; smell gone, taste back, eye pain gone, physical therapy helping, prescription for cervical and thoracic pain, etc. He said my progress is "remarkable". I was elated when I left his office. He is always so kind, understanding, very intelligent, excellent teacher of his medical students, a truly remarkable man.
My husband was in the room with me. He does agree that the visit was awful. He kept typing and typing and typing. Seems like he was not even listening to what we tried to tell him. I even said some wrong things just to hurry and get out of his office so if another person in the medical field gets his notes from me, I hope they ignore them. Then he gave me meds that didn't work. I tried for something different and he did give it to me but didn't help. He then recommended me to see a pain management dr. I asked them very kindly to help me to find one and they said they could no longer help me. This visit with him was a waste of time and money.
He's very thorough
Dr. Evens is great! You need help with headaches, go to him. He has worked with me for 2 years. I would not go to anyone else. When you go to Dr Evens have all your facts ready don't waste his time. Be as specific as you can so he can help you. His office girls are nice too. Iris has helped me with my insurance.
Dr. Evans is thorough but efficient and mindful of your time. He's friendly and knowledgeable, and he really listens to what you're saying. If he knows there might be a better specialist suited to your particular issue, he happily recommends them and will even look up their contact info for you. You feel like he really cares. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone.
Faster than ever before- which is usually late to later. Dr does not engage or show compassion; too attached to his computer. Always hurts me when he administers shots for migraine and leaves me with huge lumps on my forehead.
The doctor was great but his front desk is not. After not receiving results from an MRI for a week I began calling and got either a busy signal or voicemail that they were out of office every time i called. I tried at least a couple of times a week and finally 5 weeks later got a response.
Very professional, prompt, and he answered all of my questions.
I been seeing Dr. Evans for quite sometime now. I appreciate his assistance with medicating and providing Botox. I am not happy with bedside manners to much in the fact he doesn't listen much, when you are talking he just cuts you off and does NOT let you finish talking or even talk on the topic you are trying to put out there.
He was very nice, answered questions I had.
Dr Evans is such a great neurologist. I’ve been seeing him regularly for the last 2 years and have seen a significant decrease in frequency and intensity of my headaches and increase in overall quality of life and well-being. I meet people, mostly women, who suffer from headaches almost on a daily basis. Almost all of them have consumed their fair share of OTC Excedrin, Tylenol, and Ibuprofen. Most of them have been treated by their PCPs as well as Urgent Care or ER providers, but usually with only short term relief and moderate degree of success. Some of them have seen neurologists in the past with varying degrees of success. However, many of them still suffer in silence and have lost any hope to find a specialist who could help them. Many of them just say: "I've never met a doctor who could help me. I did not even know that doctors who treat headaches exist". Most of them are very surprised to find out that there are amazing specialists like Dr Evans out there who can help many of these patients. The ones who end up seeing Dr Evans often come back grateful. Of course, there are also patients, many of whom have suffered from headaches for years, who expect a miraculous cure after their first visit. It sounds a little unrealistic as many healthcare providers and professionals, including those who treat headaches, suffer from headaches themselves. Your provider can give you a shot of penicillin to cure your strep throat, but there is no shot to cure your headaches once and for ever. Although there is no miracle shot at the present time, with physicians like Dr Evans, there is hope for a better quality of life and less frequent attacks and pain. Dr Evans can help you manage your condition and have a better quality of life if you are willing to participate in your own healing process and follow his recommendations. Dr Evans, you are the best!!!
Bedside manner leaves much to be desired. He spends more time focused on the computer than engaging with the patient. Consideration of his patients' time is abysmal. I almost always have even longer wait times.
He was thorough and appeared to be knowledgeable. However, the check-in process was disappointing. The receptionist was Luke warm and did not keep me inform as to why the wait was so long. Also, I filled out the check-in online and it was not posted and/or available, so I had to fill out the paperwork again.
I love that he took his time to read all my medical records, and viewed a different perspective on my case
It went well.
Dr. Evans is always great! He takes the time to listen to you and make sure that he takes care of you to the best of his ability.
Muy agradable, fue mi primer vicita ,estoy muy contenta y conplacida . Espero que en mi proxima vicita sea aun mejor.
Fast service, attention. Dr. bedside manner was great!! Staff nice and healful
I've been with Dr Evans for about 15 years. I respect his opinions and recommendation. He's very professional and friendly. His current staff is great to work with, very helpful.
Amazingly knowledgeable doctor who is determined to find a solution to help ease my constant migraines. Very friendly and professional
Dr. Evans and his staff are great!! The staff was very helpful and cheerful; they treat you like a person, not just the name and the number. It is refreshing to see people who really care. And Dr. Evans, of course is a SUPER Doc. I would recommend Dr. Evans to anyone and everyone who needs a great neurologist, and I actually do! He’s definitely the best neurologist I have seen. Thank you!
Wait was over 1:15 minutes before seen.
Very generic a doctor and fairly impersonal. His office staff are rude and dont really care about your worries. I would consider this a business and not a healthcare facility. Please avoid at all costs. Most importantly, my condition was not treated.
Dr. Evans and his Staff are wonderful!! I feel there is hope for my future with their knowledge and caring. Thank you!
The medical visit was excellent. The adminstrative side not so much. A few minor glitches.
This was my second visit with Dr. Evans. He was very helpful & interested in helping me get my migraines under control. He even set me up for an online prescription program while I was in the office with him :)
it was a very detailed, pleasant visit
Great visit. Dr. Evans is the best of the best. He definitely understands the pain and burden of headaches and genuinely wants to help! It is amazing that a specialist as accomplished and as great as he is, is willing to try so many different treatment options. He’s definitely very open- minded. Some patients complain about the wait. But like with everything else in life, the best things are worth waiting for. A specialist like Dr Evans is definitely worth the wait. Thank you, Dr. Evans! You are the best!!!
I would recommend Dr. Evans to anyone! He was great. He gave me lots of hope and actually listened to what I was saying. I feel he really wants to find a solution! This is what happens when you actually do your research before visiting a dr.
Wait time was just at one hour. This seems to be the norm. I don't understand why. It's not as though he is a GP who gets emergency walk ins.
Spoke very fast and wanted to know every single detail.
This doctor was a referral from my PCP. When I arrived the staff and doctor had no idea why I was there. He wound up giving me a prescription for physical therapy which didn't help my back issues and resulted in a groin hernia which had to be operated one.
First experience with Dr Evans. He has a long way to go to win me over.
Dr Evans was very open about discussing treatments with me.
Been going to Dr. Evans for 20 years. He is the best!
Dr. Evans is always efficient and on time. He understands the pain of migraines and always discusses options that are viable for the patient and their situation.
Knows what he's talking about and has lots of ideas. Best neurologist I have seen. Very thorough. Worth the wait- but wait time is still long.
Dr Evans gave me answers that I've been searching for for over 2 years. He was very thorough and knowledgable. Well worth the trip to his office!! I would definitely recommend him for anyone suffering with headaches.
Dr. Evans can run a bit behind with his schedule, but I appreciate that he will take the time to discuss symptoms and treatment options. So while the delay isn't good, the willingness to take time when needed is.
Excellent, intelligent and trustworthy
Dr. Evans was extremely professional with a great bedside manner. I have been to many neurologists and he is definitely not JUST a neurologist but an actual specialist in his field. This means a lot! I suffer from migraines and he actually "listened" to me and offered some options for treatment. There may be a wait to see him, but he IS worth it. I would much prefer a doctor spend time with me when it is my turn versus trying to hurry to get to the next patient. He actually wants to help!
I have been seeing Dr. Evans for over 10 years. He takes the time to listen and remembers you the next visit. He is very serious about what he does but he adds humor to make you feel comfortable. I love Dr. Evans! He has help me cure my migraines from having them every week to less than a month.
Dr. Evans has given me my life back, by solving my migraines! I have been doing Botox for 2+ years now, and it has saved me! Thank you, Dr. Evans!
Professional and efficient
I love Dr. Evans. You have to be ready to discuss what's going on with your condition because he cuts to the facts and doesn't fool around. Yet, he spends more than adequate time in the appointment.
Dr. Evans is wonderful. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be able to see such a great physician who is so knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. Finding a headache specialist like Dr. Evans is like winning a lottery. Only better.
Very intelligent Doctor. I trust him completely.
Very satisfying as usual
I have total confidence in Dr. Evans.
Dr Evans is remarkable. He really listens to you and generously shares his knowledge. I am very impressed that he is so open-minded, caring, and willing to look at different solutions to find the solution that would work for you. Most physicians just go by the book or guidelines but he’s really looking for a solution that is custom tailored for the patient. I really liked his UT medical student as well. He was very attentive, caring, easy to talk to and took his time to go over my history in great details. I agree 100% with other ratings stating that if you are lucky enough to become his patient, you will be in the best hands possible with Dr Evans. Many patients worry about a drive to go to see a doctor who is not in their part of town. Dr Evans is one of those doctors who is really worth the drive.
Thorough, positive, encouraging and caring. Excellent care.
My wait on the doctor was fair and my time with the Doctor was brief. The Doctor called to schedule an MRI. However his support staff failed to remit the order. I had Uber take me to the location and wasn't seen. I will reschedule at a more convenient location.
I love that I can have a non nonsense discussion about my condition and treatment. I feel I am in the best hands possible with Dr Evans.
He has given me my life back! Very rarely do I have migraines any more. I would recommend Dr. Evans to anyone who suffers from migraines or headaches of any kind. Carol E.
Dr. Evans is the best for me. He is personable, attentive and caring.
He really listens to what you say and will give you the best prescribed according to your needs. I was impressed .
as pleasant as always
I thought he was fantastic. I also liked the medical student. They both really took the time listening to my issue (epilepsy) and didn't rush to get me out of there. I felt safe. He also has a great sense of humor. I'm so lad I found s neurologist that I feel I can trust.
Very knowledgeable! Nice guy with a great staff. I had to wait for a bit a couple times, but I don't mind as long as I get that attention also, and I always did/do.
I enjoyed my visit for today.
He was very quick to write me off, and I didn't feel he was really listening to my concerns.
Excellent bedside manner. Right to the point, I like that. Answered all my questions.
My visit is alway great.
Dr Evans is absolutely amazing. He’s one of the top US specialists in his field, and he’s one of the most knowledgeable, intelligent, respected, compassionate, caring, attentive, and kindest physicians I’ve ever met. Each time I go for a visit I am amazed at how much compassion he has for his patients. And that’s after 37 years of dealing with the patients who are chronically ill, suffer from debilitating conditions, and, as a rule, are either unhappy or depressed when they come for a visit. Today many patients are totally convinced that physicians choose medicine as their career field for financial reasons. And, without a doubt, it is true in some cases. But if you are lucky enough to come across physicians like Dr. Evans, you realize that there are also physicians out there who dedicate their lives to searching for cures, advancing medical science, and constantly looking for new ways to help their patients and ease their pain. I have no way of knowing how much time Dr. Evans spent on dealing with my case between researching the literature and consulting with other specialists. But what I know for sure is that his time, expertise, knowledge, care, kindness, and compassion are worth much more. I wish some other patients were a little more appreciative and did not complain so much about such minor issues as wait time or whatever they are unhappy about that day.
I arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment to make sure I had time to fill out forms and be ready to see the doctor. We waited in the waiting room for 45 minutes and then we were shown to his office and waited in there for over an hour. Once he showed up, he was very cold and distant while barely making any eye contact while asking questions. I heard he was great but he seemed to not care about me at all and was just going through the motions. If it was a bad day, it happens but it was a long wait for a very impersonal appointment.
Dr. Evans had controlled my migraines, which I have had for 25 years. He is remarkable and informed on all the newest techniques and treatments for migraines. I highly recommend him to anyone who suffers from migraines. In my case, he worked miracles and gave me my life back.
Dr Evans was very attentive and literally talked me through everyone of my symptoms which to me seemed like a lot. He is not warm and fuzzy and is very clinical and very intelligent. He talks at a fast pace but is very willing to explain everything he is saying. Once we got through the appointment he seemed to be more open and relaxed and I am eager to see him for my follow up. His office staff on the other hand.. Not so much. The receptionist refused to believe my insurance was valid and I had to call the insurance company myself to verify my insurance. And even after talking with the woman from my insurance company she still did not believe I was covered and was like well I guess we can see you..
First time I met him. Need more time to evaluate
Dr. Evans really tries to help with my headaches. He is so knowledgeable and is willing to keep trying when something doesn't work he tries another. Very good doctor. Just give him a chance to figure out what works for you. He has been the only doctor in my 30+ years of headaches who truly cares enough to invest his time to help me.
He knows what he is talking about and is thorough in his explanations.
I have seen other neurologists for my migraine before Dr Evan and since I have moved away and back to Houston a few times have seen others since too and I find Dr Evans by far the best. Best at finding solutions for me and best at treating my headaches.
I guess he was as expected. He's very intelligent and gets straight to the point. He's not the kind of doctor who will come in and say "hi, I'm Dr. Evans, how are you today?". He just starts asking questions about what's going on. So, not the best bedside manner, but he was interested in helping me with my problems and referred me to another doctor for further testing in another area. I didn't like how he just said he would see me again in a year, no other follow up after prescribing me a medication.
His outlook for my condition was very dreary and downtrodden.
Curt, lots of typing. Comment on staff - I filled out forms on-line, which they could not access and so I had to complete again. After waiting 30 min. I asked how much longer and was told the doctor was not even in the office. Upset me, as they had moved my appointment up by 1.5 hours and then I had to wait. After waiting another 15 minutes, when I was about to leave, the doctor showed up.
Another great experience.
He is thorough and knowledgable. Shows genuine concern, but not overly sensitive. Not the "warm and fuzzy" kind of bed-side manner, but he listens and you can tell he knows what he is doing.
dr evens is so patient kind understanding and knows his field really well. god bless him.
He's very to the point. No chatting, but very professional.
Really knows his specialty well. Your lucky if you have access to him.
Very professional, direct and to the point. No nonsense doctor, not a great conversationalist but prefer intelligence and a knowledgeable solution to by far, to meaningless chatter.
The best neurologist I have seen
Dr. Evans asked lots of questions and answered all of my questions. He appears to be a very smart individual.
Dr. Evans has excellent bedside manner and takes time to listen to his patients.
Dr. Evans is by far the best headache specialist in Houston. I can speak from my personal experience as a patient who spent 8 years in neurologists’ offices without getting any idea what was wrong with me. Although I found out after 8 years, the situation did not change much. It took me another 7 years to find Dr. Evans, a headache specialist who knew immediately what to do. The very first agent he tried to abort my headache worked in only 10 minutes. So 15 years and 10 minutes later I could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. And that light was very bright. I can also speak as a healthcare provider. I can also speak as a healthcare provider. Anybody who has ever experienced the misery and excruciating pain of a migraine, which can leave you in a mental fog nauseated and drained for days, knows that a migraine is not just a headache. OTC agents do not help. Narcotics just puts you asleep. Your family members and friends, who have never experienced a migraine, think something is wrong with you today, and, for some unknown reason, you just do not want to be around them or have anything to do with them or the rest of the world for that matter. It just does not occur to them that a migraine is THE reason. Most of my patients admit that they feel isolated and, most of the time, they suffer in silence. When I tell them that they need to see a headache specialist for a neurological evaluation, most of them look at me in disbelief. The typical responses are: “What are you talking about? I’ve been having migraine for 20 years; nobody has been able to help me” Or “Most of these doctors do not even believe my migraines are real. Each time I go to ER they give me a shot and send me home on narcotics. Why this neurologist would be any different?” Some patients actually have tears in their eyes when I tell them that they just need to find that one doctor who is one cut above the rest. Some of them, often the desperate ones on the verge of losing their jobs, marriages and relationships, take my advice and see Dr. Evans. When I see them again, I usually cannot even recognize them at first. They look like different people. Much happier people who tell me that Dr. Evans is actually that one doctor in Houston, the medical capital of the world, who happens to be one cut above the rest.
He was great. He took the time to explain everything to me.
He was very attentive to our needs, he covered EVERYTHING!!
Dr. Evans is a great Doctor and very knowledgable in his field! I was very lucky to be referred to him by my Neurologist in Florida!
Effective and efficient. As a physician, I enjoy the high quality care and problem solving oriented approach rather than mediocre care but with a lot of hand holding approach. I very much appreciate Dr. Evans accomplishments as clinician and teacher.
He's an excellent Doctor who actually listens and will do whatever it takes to help you find out or fix your health issues. He was very understanding and talking me down during my little procedure that I was terrified to do today! One of the best doctors I've ever came across!
My first visit with Dr. Evans was 15yrs. ago, he was good then and he still is good. I thank God for giving him his knowledge .
What an amazing doctor! He was so thorough and took such great care of my daughter- he came highly recommended to us by our son's orthopedic surgeon. Couldn't be more pleased!
Dr. Evans is a very knowledgeable physician. I like his no-nonsense manner that leads to a clear plan of care. I chose him precisely because he is well qualified, well trained and well published. I am elated to see he is not one of those physicians who just please people to get glowing reviews.
He was very helpful. Gonna help me have fewer migraines.
I was very comfortable with Dr. Evans and his intern. Both were professional and well informed about my problems. They provided time for my questions and answered them to my satisfaction.
I am very impressed with my visit. They actually listened to my concerns about my health.
He took me for a appointment that I did not even have because I was in the building seeing another DR I decided to stop by and see if by any way he could see and it after 5PM.He did and every thing turned out well. Dr. Evans has always been my favorite because he went to RICE UNIVERSITY. Norma 05-21-15
I can understand that some may feel that Dr. Randolph Evan's is a bit distant, but he turned out to be a truly compassionate and really wonderful doctor. I felt completely taken care of by him and his staff. I recommend him highly.
Dr. Evans was very thorough, helpful, friendly and took his time speaking with me. He had an intern working there as well and he was thorough, helpful and friendly as well. I can now say I have a neurologist! Thank you!!
I love having doctor Evans as my doctor. He understands what I'm going through and works with it try to get it fixed! I am so glad I found him and that he's been my doctor for 3 years now. I do not know what I would do without his help with my medical problems.
great. thorough. Willing to discuss.
The wait was ludicrous considering when I arrived there were no other patients in the wait area. I was disappointed that a medical student took my entire history and even performed cognitive testing without any warning that his testing would be the only testing relied upon for a diagnosis. When Dr. Evans came into the room (2 1/2 hours after I checked in) he just looked at his computer, didn't listen to my explanation nor my questions about my condition. He literally keyed my symptoms into a program that then gave him the diagnosis. I definitely wasted a lot of precious time for absolutely nothing. He is not what his resume' portrays him to be.
Nice Doctor. Was pleasant and took his time. Medical student very nice and did a thorough exam. Would recommend.
Dr. Evans has always taken the time to listen to anything that I have to say about what I may think that is insignificant to my problem so that he can do what is the best thing for me. He has just been the blessing that I have been looking for for a long time although we are not where I need to be but are very very close. I would encourage anyone to seek his advice and care.
Dr. Evans had students with him (which didn't bother me per se), who were warmer & more approachable than Dr. Evans. I have had migraines for 30 YEARS & am quite aware of what works & what does not. Sought treatment for a brief uptick in frequency. All Dr. Evans wanted to do was dig samples out of a closet & prescribe meds that I had already tried & did not work (I maintain a spreadsheet of all such medications with pros/cons that I brought with me to appt). Waste of my time & relative expertise on this subject.
My first visit with Dr. Evans went great. I left with a better understanding of my migraines, an rx and a plan for tracking them. Some reviews mentioned finding him kind of abrupt but I felt this was fine as there was a lot of ground to cover and he was being very analytical and thorough. He was perfectly pleasant and professional, and clearly explained what I needed to know. He was recommended to me by a close friend and I've already recommended him to others.
Dr. Evans truly knows his stuff and was willing to spend extra time in an appointment to make sure we were able to figure out ways to manage my migraines. The office staff is quick and reliable, everyone was incredibly friendly. Highly recommend Dr. Evans!
My appointment was scheduled for 2:15. I arrived at 1:45pm. The office was closed for lunch. The assistant arrived a few minutes later and let me in. I was the only one in the waiting room and knew that there were no other patients in the office because it was closed, but still had to wait until 3 o'clock to see the doctor. I actually saw him arrive at approximately 2:30 through a side door. Should I assume he took a long lunch? The point is, I was there ahead of schedule and the only patient to be seen and yet I still had to wait 45 minutes to see the doctor. Why? Now the appointment… It was my first preliminary appointment, so I wasn't expecting much. He walked in, introduced himself, sat down and started typing on the computer. He asked questions and continued to type into the computer. Upon completion, he wrote me a prescription and told me to come back in 6 weeks. About what I expected for a first appointment.
After many years of terrible migraines, Dr. Evans has managed to reduce the number, frequency and intensity of my headaches so I can live a productive life. He is very intelligent and extremely well-educated. He is very good at explaining treatments and options for headaches. I would recommend him to anyone with neurological problems.
He was very thorough.
The best headache specialist in Houston!
He was very informative and asked for clarification on things from me and gave me clarification as I needed it. He wasn't the fastest doctor but he was squeezing me in to a tight spot. So he was helpful in many ways.
Incredibly dry and does not interact with patients. I sat in a room with him while he performed an evaluation and he said maybe 6 words the entire time. Just not friendly.
Good, trust his recommendations.
He was very thorough and patient. He asked questions and didnt rush through the appt.
I actually like this guy. The wait sucked but I heard that's common with this field. He was very good at explaining what the issue is and giving something to correct it. I definitely left feeling way more comfortable about my problem. And about the staff ladies, you should see the patients they deal with every minute. You wouldn't be smiling all day either.
We had a good conversation about the reason for my visit. I was able to give him clear and specific answers about my medical condition. We agreed on the treatment necessary. He offered to send me for tests but I told him that we had been dealing with these same symptoms for the last 2 -3 visits, so we agreed that I did not need to go for tests as I had on the last 2 visits. I told him that I would call him if I needed to see him again and he said that was fine. Dr. Evans is an excellent physician, neurologist, whom I have known for the past 15 years. He is always very kind and helpful.
I have been a patient for a couple of years. Dr.Randall is one of the best migraine specialists around. He recently made office staff changes and that improved schedling greatly. I highly recommend if you are suffering with severe migraines. It's nice to have my life back.
He's very knowledgeable with a great bedside manner. Excellent neurologist, especially regarding migraines.
Dr Evans is really caring. He listens to my concerns and is always available when I have questions between appointments.
It was great - Dr. Evan's Botox treatments have really helped my headaches.
It was good. He a great doctor. Asks lots of questions to get to know you.
He was so professtional, answered all my questions. Took his time with me and helped me with my problem. I will recommend him Highly and use your service again. I left his office with No Pain! Really, Really pleased.
Not impressed Did not listen and was very standoffish
He was very through in my opinion. He took his time to ask pertinent questions to correctly diagnose and I did not feel rushed like how typical doctors run through the rooms. He scheduled me to get my testing and MRI done the same day, which I appreciated since I am 40 minutes away from his office. I can see why he was rated as a Superdoc in Texas Monthly and he is also the clinical professor at Baylor Medical School.
Dr Evans was incredibly knowledgeable and showed a sincere desire to work with me. I feel like I have hope for the first time in 7 years.
Dr. Evans saved me from the nightmare of chronic migraine headaches. Been seeing him for over a decade. Now I have migraine headaches once or twice a month.
He is a great doctor, and is very though in his treatment.
I think it went very well.
Dr. Evans listened as I discussed my concerns and then rapidly organized any testing that I needed to have performed to arrive at a diagnosis.
The doctor and his associate Luis were very proffesional. The only complaint I have was the wait I got there at 4:30, my appointment was at 5 and I was called in at 6:10. The front desk should let us know us they are running behind.
IT WAS JUST OK
Dr. Evans is highly professional, obviously competent, empathetic and effective. Highly recommended.
I have been a patient of Dr. Evans for many years. He is very thorough, asks questions and is a very good listener.
Absolutely one of the best Doctors that I've ever had the pleasure to see. Randy Evans is truly a remarkable Doctor.
Knowledgeable and very professional.
My migraines have been under control for a year with Dr. Evans. He was very attentive this visit as he listened to my concerns about other symptoms I have. He examined me and reviewed my history as well as ordering new tests. He then explained what he found during the examination and a plan going forward. After several years with Dr Evans I have learned to bring a written list of symptoms giving details such as when it started, how often, how long, etc. He is an excellent diagnostician if you give him information to work with. I'm not the best at keeping a journal but I have learned to jot down a date and a word or two when something significant happens. The person this benefits is the patient.
First doctor in 35 years that has been able to help with my migraines. Went from 25 headaches a month to 5! Plus gave me info on my medicine go from $75 month to $25!!
Alway excellent I drive over almost and hour to my and Appmt. Dr.Evan is great at what he do and unlike some Dr I feel like he listen.
Dr. Evans was very thorough, he took lots of time asking questions to get a better understanding of what my problems were.
We communicated well and all my questions were answered to my satisfaction.
Enjoy Dr. Evans alot, once we get to see him. Have had long wait times with appointments the last two visits.
He is very thorough and effective in his approach. I would highly recommend him!
Good experience. Spent adequate time with me during visit.
Very disappointed! I prepared a spreadsheet of my elderly 88 year old Mom's meds(name, strength, dosage, AM/PM, with purpose, rather extensive list. Also a word doc for quick scanning of purpose of visit, treated major medical problems, prior surgeries, and short history of her severe headaches which had become almost daily. This was done to quickly get through this so more time would be spent with the doctor. IT DID'NT happen!!! So after subjecting my to an hour of questioning and typing infor into the PC by the 3rd year medical student, who didn't even put the med list in my elderly Mom was exhausted!!! The doc came in and sat wordlessly and typed in the med list! We had to keep correcting him on the things that we succinctly spelled out on are simple 1 pager we gave him our second copy!! Got the med situation wrong too! Short and sweet he ordered a couple of tests and out we go! This guy charged his rate to Medicare when all we got was a 3rd year med student to put data into a computer!!! This is the worst doctor I have ever taken my Mom too!! Never again, I will do a very thorough job of researching now!!!
I am at peace now that I have found a doctor whose opinion I would trust thoroughly. I would come to him for any neurological problems affecting my family and recommend him unreservedly to all others. The reason for this basically is his sharp observation, vast knowledge and thorough examination. He deserves the respected title of 'Doctor'.
His medical advice and counsel was clear and understandable, and reassuring. However, I found his manner a little abrupt and I had to wait about 45 minutes. I tried numerous times to call the office to understand if he was on schedule but could never get through; either engaged and left on hold for 4 minutes after which I hung up and turned up on time.
He is aweful! We waited for over 3 hours before being seen!! The lady behind desk is VERY rude and didn't know anything anytime I spoke to her. I was told I needed Botox and they took over 2 months trying to get it approved and NEVER called me about it and was rude when I tried to find out the hold up. I finally gave up with them and picked a new doctor in Sugarland. DONT go to Dr. Evans!! He is rude and disrespectful!! He doesn't care about patients at all!!!
Very helpful. He made several excellent suggestions which, I hope, may explain and alleviate (at least to some degree) some of my neuro issues.
It was my first time seeing Dr. Evans, due to numbness in hand/leg. I was seen by a nice intern who took my medical history. Dr. Evans was running about 1 hour late and did a slight physical exam and than ordered MRI. I hope he can find out what is going on with me.
He was very nice and familiar about my condition. He understood my concerns and helped me right away.
Dr. Evans spent extra time taking new information from me about my migraines, and I never felt rushed. I also had a procedure done in the office and I felt confident about his handiling it. He was very professional.
i think future patients should know ahead of time that there is a fee to park at that hospital facility that is not re-embursed. im from galveston and i never have to pay at their parking garages. i was disappointed to spend my last 10$ cash. also i think everyone should be out right before 5pm if blood work is needed since they close at 5pm. we cant all go back and make time if our visit with neurology finishes after five.... now i have to drive back to houston again
The staff and the doctor were incredible, very attentive, took the time to really listen to my problems and took my symptoms very seriously. I will definitely continue to use this doctor!
Had a 930 appt, was called back close to 1030. Med Student came in band spent nearly an hour putting notes in PC, Dr. Evans came in and spent nearly the next hour at the PC, only brief neurological exam by each of them. Will attempt follow-up appointment and hope for better rapport.
Dr. Evans was very thorough and professional. He explained options for my treatment.
First visit he was over an hour late and rushed thru my appt. not sure on treatment path.
Meeting with Dr. Evans is a rare experience - he is always professional, attentive, kind, and devoted to providing the best medical attention and care a patient could ask for. It doesn't get any better than this.
Dr Evans saved my life and went above what was expected for my care. That is why when my husband needed a neurologist, I took him straight to Dr Evans. Very professional and knowledgable. Highly recommend.
Very impressed, he was very concerned and started tests' to determine my problem. Highly recommend Dr. Evans
I saw Dr Evans for what turned out to be migraines a few months ago. I was in a terrible state when I saw him since I though my headaches, mood swings, short temper, etc were some shortcoming on my part and that I should be able to fix this on my own. My stubborn attitude let me sink to near catatonic levels and, although I visited on a fairly good day, I still cried in his office. I think he handled that very well. He asked if there was anything going on and we had a conversation on happier topics until I could speak coherently about my symptoms. After discussing what ailed me and describing the treatment plan he suggested I see a psychologist to talk out any other issues. I still haven't tried that out (did I mention I was stubborn?), but my current treatment is working so well I have begun to tackle those issues on my own. All in all, I was probably with him for 30-60 minutes. I can't speak highly enough of his professionalism, efficiency and care for my overall well-being.
seemed very thorough and attentive.
The wait time was long and he seemed eager to get done with the visit. He kept cutting me off and did not want to listen.
Dr. Evans is great. He was the first doctor to finally find medication that would work for my migraines.
