There was quite a bit of a wait to be seen and my perception was that the doctor seemed somewhat rushed or terse in his initial comments/questions (I was first seen by medical students who gathered my history). When you seea specialist with decades of expertise in a particular condition, I understand that the condition can be seen as basic and routine to them, but for me, it's new and I feel like I need some recognition that I might need more time to ask questions. Nonetheless, he does seem friendly, genuine, and knowledgeable. I will return for my follow up, but I very much hope to have a more relaxed visit with time to ask questions and fully digest the information.

Dr Evans is definitely the best in what he does. The visits are always awesome!!! Dr Evans is always caring, helpful, and informative! Can hardly believe some reviews patients leave. The ones who complain that they either did not get thehelp they needed on their first visit or they do not want to take recommended medications or that Dr Evans prescribes “medicines hoping he’ll heal them”. Isn’t it why we go to a medical doctor in the first place? So he or she could prescribe medications? Dr Evans does not advertise anywhere that he “heals” or “cures” migraines, or any other chronic neurological disorders. One would not expect a pulmonologist to cure one’s asthma on the first visit, although asthma is considered a reversible disease, why is it expected with migraines? Chronic migraines sufferers admit that doctor shopping still does not cure their migraines. Until the cure for migraines is found, we all will need great, knowledgeable, and efficient medical doctors like Dr Evans to prescribe us medications. And the more you cooperate with your doctor, who is there to help, and happens to be one of the very best specialists out there, the higher your chance of finding the best solution for yourself.

Dr. Evans was great! He was very kind and paid attention to my concerns. He was receptive when I was concerned with going on preventative medication and gave me multiple alternatives. He asks a lot of questions so be prepared andhave a clear understanding of what your complaints are and the visit should go smoothly. I would recommend Dr. Evans to everyone!

Another doctor visited with me for over an hour before Dr. Evans saw me. We went over my entire patient history, the symptoms I suffer from most, and my chief complaints that, i.e. the reason I was there to see him. When Dr. Evans came in, he re-asked many of the questions the precious doctor wrote down, re-typed things, and finally, decided for himself what he wanted to treat, not what I said was my chief complaint. He dismissed the things that I am suffering from most and made his own conclusions about what he’ll treat. He barely listened to me at all and was very frustrating. He gave me a prescription to try for 9 days, hoping he’ll heal me. If it doesn’t work, he wants me to take a higher dose of a medication that I don’t want to take as it makes me feel worse. He is insistent, pushy, vain, and set in his ways. If you don’t see things the way he does, there is no point in seeing him as a doctor. He’ll only do what he think is best and dismiss your concerns. I will not see him again. 2.5 hours wasted at this practice.

While Dr. Evans is very knowledgeable about his profession, he was in such a big hurry to sit down and review my daughter's information that he did not offer to shake our hands or look us in the eye and say"hello". Rather than offer an explanation of why, he just insisted that my daughter was wrong in her diagnosis in a very argumentative fashion. My daughter was not feeling well at the time and found it difficult to re-answer all the questions that Dr. Evans' interns had just asked, which wasted at least 30-45 minutes. My suggestion is to put all staff that needs to hear a patient's ailments and complaints in the room at the same time to avoid all the repetition. This is also after I spent 45-60 minutes completing an extensive questionnaire on-line the week prior. What was the point? Dr. Evans is not exclusive to this intern and questionnaire time waster. We see it all the time, as does everyone else. By the time the patient sees the doctor, everyone is tired of re-explaining the problems. Tempers are high. Everyone just wants to go home. We were given a few new options that may help my daughter's problems, but time will tell.

This was one of the worst doctor's visits I've ever been to, and I've been seeing doctors consistently for the last 7 years for my chronic pain. He had horrible bedside manner, never made eye contact with me once in the2-and-a-half hours I was there. I spent 45 minutes answering questions about my medical history with the interns, who were the only positive to this visit, for him to spend another 15-30 minutes on top of all that asking the same exact questions. We requested an order of the SPG nerve blocker shots. That was THE ONLY reason we were there. He refused to fulfill that request, even though our order form had it clearly written on there. In fact, he tried to hide that form from us and lied about it to my dad's face as I was crying on the bed. He dismissed 7 years of near-constant, excrutiating chronic headache pain like it was nothing. I left his office in tears, my mom was in tears, my dad had to hold himself back. I would and will never recommend this doctor to anybody. We feel the only positive that came out of this whole experience is that his interns got to see what happens when you lose your humanity in order to become a doctor. If anyone ever goes to see him, I feel so sorry for you. He represents what is wrong with our healthcare system and I am ashamed I even got my hopes up as much as I did after being let down in the past so much before. My first graders show more empathy than this robotic machine could possess in a finger. His interns will remember that visit and how he treated me for the rest of their lives. One day, he will be stricken with a chronic illness, and as horrible as he was to me and my family, I hope that his doctor never treats him that way. Nobody deserves that.

Dr. Evans had students with him (which didn't bother me per se), who were warmer & more approachable than Dr. Evans. I have had migraines for 30 YEARS & am quite aware of what works & what does not. Sought treatmentfor a brief uptick in frequency. All Dr. Evans wanted to do was dig samples out of a closet & prescribe meds that I had already tried & did not work (I maintain a spreadsheet of all such medications with pros/cons that I brought with me to appt). Waste of my time & relative expertise on this subject.

Dr. Evans is excellent. He has treated me for about 3-4 years now and I wouldn't go to another dr. I would definitely recommend him. He listens and really comes up with the best treatment options for me that work. Hisstaff has also always been very helpful - which I have to say is a definite plus. I help my mother with all of her appointments and the competency of so many office staff or the arrogance of some of them is unbelievable. His staff has always been just great.

My husband was in the room with me. He does agree that the visit was awful. He kept typing and typing and typing. Seems like he was not even listening to what we tried to tell him. I even said somewrong things just to hurry and get out of his office so if another person in the medical field gets his notes from me, I hope they ignore them. Then he gave me meds that didn't work. I tried for something different and he did give it to me but didn't help. He then recommended me to see a pain management dr. I asked them very kindly to help me to find one and they said they could no longer help me. This visit with him was a waste of time and money.

My visit with Dr. Randolph Evans was wonderful. He was so affirming of my progress in 4 weeks. Headaches gone, dizziness treated positively, hearing back, depression gone; anxiety re vehicle dangers normal, I suffered a terrible blow to mywhole body, esp my brain; smell gone, taste back, eye pain gone, physical therapy helping, prescription for cervical and thoracic pain, etc. He said my progress is "remarkable". I was elated when I left his office. He is always so kind, understanding, very intelligent, excellent teacher of his medical students, a truly remarkable man.

Dr Evans is such a great neurologist. I’ve been seeing him regularly for the last 2 years and have seen a significant decrease in frequency and intensity of my headaches and increase in overall quality of life and well-being. I meetpeople, mostly women, who suffer from headaches almost on a daily basis. Almost all of them have consumed their fair share of OTC Excedrin, Tylenol, and Ibuprofen. Most of them have been treated by their PCPs as well as Urgent Care or ER providers, but usually with only short term relief and moderate degree of success. Some of them have seen neurologists in the past with varying degrees of success. However, many of them still suffer in silence and have lost any hope to find a specialist who could help them. Many of them just say: "I've never met a doctor who could help me. I did not even know that doctors who treat headaches exist". Most of them are very surprised to find out that there are amazing specialists like Dr Evans out there who can help many of these patients. The ones who end up seeing Dr Evans often come back grateful. Of course, there are also patients, many of whom have suffered from headaches for years, who expect a miraculous cure after their first visit. It sounds a little unrealistic as many healthcare providers and professionals, including those who treat headaches, suffer from headaches themselves. Your provider can give you a shot of penicillin to cure your strep throat, but there is no shot to cure your headaches once and for ever. Although there is no miracle shot at the present time, with physicians like Dr Evans, there is hope for a better quality of life and less frequent attacks and pain. Dr Evans can help you manage your condition and have a better quality of life if you are willing to participate in your own healing process and follow his recommendations. Dr Evans, you are the best!!!
