I believe that each individual is unique and has had their own collective experiences that shape the person they have become—along with individual variances in how they might respond to standard or novel treatments. My approach to patient care is not one size fits all.
Decades of experience since residency training and thousands of patients of all ages later have shaped my treatment approach, which is extremely methodical. I am a seasoned, board-certified psychiatric physician (M.D.) with a track record of treating the most complex cases. Working with patients to obtain complete remission so they may live their lives fully is my daily ambition.
I am patient-centered, and I believe that empathy is critical in providing psychiatric care. I also believe that every person must actively participate in their treatment plan.
You can be assured that you will receive world-class care guided by the highest standards. I am relentlessly driven to see my patients recover, and they typically do.
I am the founder and medical director of Envision Mindcare, LLC, consisting of myself and a team of stringently selected certified psychiatric practitioners. We have expanded after over 20 years in Georgia with offices in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, initially providing telehealth. We are currently opening more offices throughout South Florida and across the state. We can provide in-person visits when needed and will offer full-time services soon.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa, completed my residency in psychiatry at the University of Texas, and further specialized in psychiatry at the University of South Alabama.

Genuinely horrid experience. I logged on early for my 10:00 AM appointment, as instructed. The woman on the video call was immediately rude, left and came back, with a rude tone said the appointment was at 11 and told me to come back 40 minutes later instead. I barely got a word in before she kicked me out of the session. I double-checked and confirmed with the office that my appointment was at 10. Tried to log back in and got kicked out again. No one asked if it could be changed, I guess they just moved it without asking me. Then they said the doctor (who I actually booked with) called out, and tried to pass me off to someone else without warning. I wasted an hour and a half of my morning waiting around for a rude, unprofessional staff that clearly had a mess of everything. Said they would cancel it and didn’t, I assume to try to pin it on me as a no-show. Super negligent, disorganized, and unprofessional. I've never been treated like this by a Doctor’s office before, astounding.
