The Moore Eye Institute is pleased to announce the addition of an extremely talented cornea, premium IOL, and refractive surgeon to complete Moore’s specialization. Dr. Ravi Patel joins Moore as the Director of the Cornea Refractive Division.
Dr. Patel Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Jefferson Medical College, while also receiving an MBA and being selected into the very competitive alpha omega alpha (AOA) honors society. His exceptional surgical skills and his diagnostic prowess will enhance Moore’s ability to provide care for even the most complex anterior segment conditions. Having trained at the University of Pittsburgh, one of the most advanced glaucoma centers in the country, our glaucoma team also benefits from his expertise. His fellowship at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute has set him apart and allows him to lead in offering refractive surgeries such as LASIK, PRK, INTACS, lamellar keratoplasty (DSEK), and PKP.
As a surgeon with one of the highest success rates in cataract surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Dr. Patel helped advance the premium IOL clinic and continues to do the same at Moore. Dr. Patel has developed an expertise in rehabilitating eyes and is extremely proficient in knowing who the ideal candidates are for premium IOL lenses.
As a complete medical doctor, Dr. Patel is one of the few practitioners in the Delaware Valley who also specializes in uveitis, helping the four retina surgeons at Moore who also care for uveitis patients.
