In 2019, Rebecca Jaspan, MPH, RD, CDN, CDCES, CEDS joined the practice of Laura Cipullo Whole Nutrition & Yoga to become more adept at working with clients experiencing both mental and physical health disorders. Under the supervision of Laura Cipullo, Rebecca was able to earn the title Certified Eating Disorder Specialist through the Internal Association of Eating Disorders Professionals and is an expert in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, as well as disordered eating and orthorexia. In addition, she specializes in gastrointestinal health, sports nutrition, diabetes and PCOS, as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. Rebecca facilitates individual and group mindful meal support in NYC and virtually on weekly basis.
Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York in 2013, and her Masters of Public Health from the CUNY School of Public Health in New York City, in 2016.
Upon completing her dietetic internship through Hunter College, she gained valuable clinical experience at Bronx Lebanon Hospital providing nutrition care for patients with diabetes, renal disease, gastrointestinal disorders and critically ill tube-fed patients.
Prior to assuming her current position, Rebecca was Clinical Administrative Dietitian at Montefiore Medical Center, where she directed the outpatient nutrition program at Montefiore’s ambulatory hospital.
Rebecca’s love of food and cooking has resulted in her regularly contributing articles to The Kitchn, a popular website. Rebecca is also a monthly contributor to Health.com and VeryWell Fit, translating evidence-based nutrition into practical and usable language.
As a runner, Rebecca has a special interest in sports nutrition and works with athletes to improve their performance through nutrition. She has given presentations about nutrition for long distance runners at New York Road Runners Club and USA Track & Field.
