Dr. Nickell is a very sweet woman who puts you at ease in the office. She explains things clearing and builds rapport easily. She is knowledgeable and can generate multiple treatment recommendations, which allows the patient to feel more in charge of their care.

My Husband and I are very particular about the doctors we see. We are picky and have criteria they must meet and we also do our research. We choose Dr.Nickell and cannot be more thrilled with our choice. She made both of our visits an absolute pleasure! She got our results back fast and had no problem walking us thru everything she was doing and happily answered any and all questions and.concerns we had. We are so glad we chose her and her office. What a wonderful team of experts.

Dr. Nickell has had a strong calling to family medicine from a young age. Since first grade, she has wanted to follow her grandfather’s footsteps to become a family physician that her community could know and trust. Dr. Nickell graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has been practicing medicine in Pueblo, Colorado since 2002.

Dr. Nickell is an Osteopath,, so that may not be everyone's preferred doctoring "style". I chose this/her for that reason and was really pleased with the initial meeting with her. Hope to see some general improvements holistically for the things I saw her for.

My first visit was very productive and she was very patient listening to all my questions. Today I felt very rushed and she didn't remember having me as a patient before. I was referred to another doctor without any real answers and had to ask what medication to take for pain and other questions I felt she should have addressed.

I was a new patient. I don't usually need a primary care doctor, but I needed some antibiotics for a cough and sinus infection that just would not go away. Dr. Nickell was nice and she also gave me my prescription and told me to wait a few days if it would clear up on it's own. A few weeks later my daughter needed antibiotics for the same cough and I was glad I didn't have to go back and could just take my prescription.
Fast forward 3 months and I was diagnosed with breast cancer and needed blood work done for my bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction. My plastic surgeon had send me the prescription for that and told me to go to my primary doctor. So I called Dr. Nickell's office and explained them what I needed and for what. The woman on the phone basically cut me off and told me that they only do in house blood work. What does that even mean? When I tried to tell her what kind of blood work I needed she cut me off again and said the same thing. I thanked her and then called my OBGyn. No problem there. They listened to me, I can send them my prescription via E-mail and will get my blood work in time for my surgery. So for now, I will do without a primary care doctor. I see enough other doctors right now anyway ;).
So Dr. Nickell might be a good doctor, but the service in this clinic is questionable.

Dr Nickell was very attentive, listened to my concerns and asked questions to make sure she understood. She ordered a test just to rule out a possible dangerous scenario which, when it proved not to be, offered palliative care which I appreciated rather than being given unnecessary prescriptions.
