Dr. Patel is wonderful! I especially appreciate that she listens - she's good at both the small talk that helps a patient become comfortable and at talking about the health of your eyes. An added bonus at this location is Bruce who runs the glasses shop (Eye Society) where the office is located. He is kind, personable, knowledgeable and really takes matching you to the right glasses seriously!

She completed her optometric education at the State University of New York (SUNY), College of Optometry. After graduating optometry school in 2008, she went on to complete her residency in primary eye care with an emphasis in ocular disease at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lyons and East Orange, NJ.
Dr.Patel has been practicing optometry for the past 6 years and recently opened a practice inside Eye Society Eyewear in Morris Plains, NJ. Dr. Patel performs routine eye exams, evaluation and fitting of contact lenses, and diagnoses, treats, and manages eye conditions. I recently went to see Dr. Patel to get a routine eye exam because my last experience was not a good one and my eyes have changed as well. I checked out zocdoc.com for the first time and was pleased with the positive ratings and comments about her. She is friendly, knowledgeable and did not rush through my examination which was great; she explained each process thoroughly. Without question, I would recommend her highly to family and friends. Also the one-on-one service when selecting my glasses was the best and he explained in detail about insurance and added expenses! I will definitely be going back. Thank you both for an awesome experience!

I loved Dr. Patel! It was the most informative and interesting eye exam I have ever had. Considering I've had glasses since age 7 that is saying something. She is very knowledgable, helpful and was my first optometrist who offered real insight and help with my dry eyes. I left there feeling great and looking forward to my future with her caring for my eyes. The office leaves a bit to be desired, and the bathroom could've used a cleaning, however she far surpassed any expectation and will certainly be her patient forever.
