Dr. Ravin is skilled in all areas of vascular surgery with expertise in aortic, carotid, and peripheral vascular disease. His research interests include comparative effectiveness research, as well as the application of new technology to better measure surgical outcomes. Dr. Ravin graduated from Vanderbilt University magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in biology. He attended Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons, earning Alpha Omega Alpha distinction, and the Allen O. Whipple Memorial Prize for outstanding performance in surgery. He completed his residency training at The Mount Sinai Hospital in the integrated vascular surgery program. During his residency at Mount Sinai, he published numerous book chapters as well as articles related to carotid artery disease and won a research grant for investigation of digital technologies in outcome measurements.
