Dr. Richard Clemmons is a board certified Neurologist and Epileptologist. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas where he graduated in 2006 with high honors and was inducted into the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his internship and residency in Neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. After finishing residency, he remained at Mayo Clinic to complete a fellowship specializing in epilepsy and pre-surgical evaluation of intractable epilepsy.
Dr. Clemmons is board certified in Advanced Central Clinical Neurophysiology with added competency in Epilepsy Monitoring through the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. He is also board certified in Epilepsy through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He currently serves on the Professional Advisory Board for the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado.
Dr. Clemmons owned and practiced at Colorado Neurology and Epilepsy Clinic for three years before joining Blue Sky Neurology in 2015.

i visited Dr Clemmons for a consult regarding a head injury. He did a very thorough exam and cognitive test. He explained the issues related to a concussion and stressed the need to give myself time to recover. He was very patient and gave ample time for questions. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Clemmons is a very caring, intuitive provider. He spent over an hour with me in our first consult, despite not having any of the films/medical records he needed (my primary care's office never sent over). He did a very comprehensive neurological exam and asked many questions. I was impressed and look forward to following up with him.

Although there was a short wait, he, in turn, spent the time needed with me to collect all the relevant information and I did not feel rushed out the door. He took the time to read the notes from previous visits instead of just asking me for a summary. I would recommend him highly.
