Dr. Edelson is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship-trained in sports medicine. His practice includes a wide range of orthopaedic and sports injuries, focusing primarily on knee and shoulder injuries, and is especially skilled in arthroscopic surgery of knees and shoulders. He currently is the Chief Medical Officer and head team physician for the Portland Timbers professional soccer team and orthopaedic consultant for the Portland Thorns along with providing orthopaedic support for Nike and local area high schools. For recreation he enjoys golf, skiing and working out. He and his wife Jill have three children.

I've got some complex issues and he discussed in a great amount of detail (succinctly) what is likely going on and what needs to be done to address these issues. He spent some extra time to rule out some other contributing factors to my issues, which I appreciated. I didn't feel like he was rushing me in and out and listened to and addressed my questions.
