He was knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. He immediately provided me with at home equipment for sleep tests. I was able to do the tests and schedule a follow up. Unfortunately, the office wait for my second app't. was almost an hour and there was a miscommunication with technician who was supposed to fit my mouthpiece - and she left the office before my appt. was over. Stuff happens - profuse apologies from Dr. I have another appt. next week - hopefully all will go smoothly.

Dr. Richard Hamburg is a double boarded physician in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Before his medical training, Dr. Hamburg was a licensed dentist. It is this unique training that has provided him better understanding of his patients Ear, Nose, Throat issues.
Dr. Hamburg’s practice focuses on all aspects of ENT and Sleep Medicine. While he has performed head & neck surgeries in the past, his interests led him to focus his practice on both general ENT and all aspects of sleep medicine including dental oral appliances. ( Treatment for snoring and sleep apnea).
As an individual suffering from sleep apnea himself, Dr Hamburg realized it was one of the most under diagnosed diseases. . He has explored and treated hundreds of patients with several types of therapy such as surgery, CPAP therapy and mandibular oral appliance therapy. After years of extensive research, Dr Hamburg invented his own oral appliance for his patients. It is FDA approved and patent pending. To date, many patients have been successfully treated with the use of this oral appliance. Because I am in plan with most of the insurances these patients were able to be treated with little or no out of pocket expense.

I was very satisfied with my visit with Dr. Hamburg. He is very thorough and takes his time with his patients. I was a patient of Dr.Hamburg before he went into sleep apnea . Now that I think I might have sleep apnea I immediately made an appointment and was very happy to see Dr. Hamburg. I also recommended my sister to see Dr. Hamburg.

He was a very sweet Dr. Easy to speak with. We were engaged in a conversation right from the start. I have fears of things going in or near my ears and i expressed those fears and he was very gentle with me. The wait in his office was long but I had booked the appointment with him on such short notice so I was happy he could even fit me in. I will be going back to him in the future. Would definitely recommend.

I chose Dr Hamberg because he was Board Certified in both ENT & Sleep medicine as well as a dentist. Dr Hamburg made me a "custom oral appliance" for my sleep apnea. Which sloved my sleep apnea as a "Police Officer" this was a tremenodus benefit for me to perform my duties.

The doctor was very fast and extremely thorough. The office accepted me in after regular business hours. Answered any questions I had. He had state of the equipment. The office was very clean. I was able to make my appointment online. That by itself was very convenient. I will definitely go back and I will definitely recommend this doctor.

I've been a patient of Dr. Hamburg for over 25 years. He has treated me for serious ear issues & more recently for sleep apnia. I use his oral appliance which works GREAT!! Don't need a CPAP machine.
