Although it was quite a wait time it was worth it. Dr. Kay took his time and listened. His staff was very friendly. Being new to the area I was very pleased with Dr. Kay.

Dr. Richard Kay is a true Floridian. He was born and raised in Miami, did his residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville, and for three years prior to opening his own practice worked on the East and West coast of the state, taking care of the elderly in their homes. Dr. Kay does have a special place in his heart for the elderly, but loves taking care of youngsters and teens, and those of us in between.

Was not satisfied with how Dr Kay handle the results of some of my tests. His bedside manner is very friendly, but not happy with the way he presented some results. He was actually happy that my ailment was not caused by a side-effect in some other medication that I was taking. I, on the other hand, was more concerned that there could be something else going on with regards to the ailment. The doctor didn't have time to address the issue as he had other patients. This is not the care that I wanted to have. It was VERY disconcerting!! Other members of his office staff have either been apathetic or more concerned about their own personal drama rather than to be welcoming or helpful.

I've been there many times. Most appointments are not documented on Zoc Doc as computer states I was there 2 years ago and it has been months. Dr Kay does care about patients, however during appointments he leaves exam room to deal with other patients. At times he leaves & concerns have not been addressed and I'm sitting there waiting to complete appointment only to find out appointment is completed. Staff does not take care of issues promptly although they state they'll get back to you in 48 hours. I've waited months for concerns to be addressed only to find out from a third party office staff never took care of concern. One concern took almost a year to get it resolved. I've currently got concerns office staff stated several months ago they'd discuss with doctor. I've got specialist waiting on response to the condition, but yet I don't have a response to provide. Basically a good doctor with a practice that's grown to extent doctor gets distracted with concerns of other clients. No follow up by Dr for items he believes have been taken care of but staff has neglected to complete necessary items.

Every time I have an appointment I am not called into the back until 15-20 minutes later. Then after you get you initial checkup expect to wait another 20 min or so for the doctor to come in. Although it's the techs job to do the checkup she usually has no personally and even when I try and lighten up the mood wit humor she's always so serious and stern. Whenever Dr Kay does come I always feel rushed feel like he's trying to breeze through his patients. Maybe this is a symptom of double booking appointments.

Dr. Kay was very professional and very thorough. Wanted to know, not just my symptoms, but the history that lead up to the issues. I'm glad I switched care providers, as I feel I have definitely found one that is concerned about my wellness. I did not feel rushed during my visit. I was referred by my sister to see him, and he really is a great doctor.

Dr. Kay is very nice and very thorough. The majority of his office's staff were impersonal and came off as rude. I had to wait over an hour before I actually saw the doctor even after arriving early, but I learned it was likely because he spends ample time with each patient. Overall the doctor is great so far!
