Dr. Layfield is always very thorough with his examinations to really pinpoint the issue or injury and provide the best course of action. Today's visit was for an injury, and Dr. Layfield took the time to explain the what the injury is, how it happened, how to treat it at home, and how to prevent it from happening again. In a time when many doctors have to rush from patient to patient, I really appreciate the extra time Dr. Layfield takes with me. It makes me feel that he cares about his work and I am valued as a patient.

Almost pain free cortisone injection
Verified patient
He was honest and showed me what was going with my right knee. The left can wait but need a new right one and he explained that it’s coming and gave me cortisone and drained it so I could do all my walking in Vegas. I’ll have to make another appt to start the process but this should give me short time relief. He was positive and empathetic and I enjoyed the visit.
Verified patient
I have been to Dr Layfield a couple of times over the past 10 years for various injuries. Easy to talk to. Gives straight, understandable answers in a caring way. Gives you options for treatment. Doesn't push surgery unless absolutely necessary.
Verified patient
I walked in afraid hip surgery was in my near future. It turned out the long-standing hip issue wasn't the problem, and the new issue was easily handled with a cortisone shot. Whew!
Verified patient
Dr Layfield is very personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. He explains treatment plans succinctly. Allows adequate time for questions.
Verified patient
Dr. Hayfield was great. Listened carefully to my concerns, did a quick evaluation and offered options to correct and future recommendations to keep healthy. Only on minor thing was that I received a cortisone shot to help with pain and recovery, but was not told about the immediate after affects to expect. Never had a cortisone shot before and by the time I got home I was having a Tim Conway Dentist skit going on with my hand, wrist and fingers. Lost nearly all control. It was both frightening and hilarious. Researched when I got home to learn numbness after cortisone shots is normal, but may have something to mention. Otherwise, I wouldn't hesitate to see Dr. Layfield and the hospital staff again. It was a nice, friendly and professional visit. My thanks to all. And if you havent seen the Tim Conway skit, look it up...you MUST watch. :-)
