Dr. Lockey and his staff were all wonderful! Very professional and friendly. Dr.Lockey is old school in the best way, you rarely see doctors like him anymore, he was great and very to the point in his analysis of my condition. Looking forward to seeing him and his staff again for my next appointment!

OUTSTANDING! Professor Lockey is a nationally recognized expert in Allergy and Immunology. I was referred to him by a community Allergist. Great bedside manner. A comprehensive examination. I had a difficult problem that he immediately diagnosed by history. Office personnel are outstanding. He is special.

My father was a family physician who later in life specialized in allergy and immunology. This interest blossomed at Haverford College, when I began conducting research in immunology. It continued at Temple University College of Medicine and the University of Michigan, where I published my first paper on aspirin-exacerbated asthma. I was also able to conduct and publish research while serving as a Major and physician in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. “Now I am privileged to direct an outstanding faculty in the world-renowned Division of Allergy and Immunology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine and the James A. Haley Veterans Administration Hospital. “During my long and varied career, I have been interested in a variety of research subjects, including aspirin-exacerbated asthma, allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots), insect-sting allergy, anaphylaxis, sinusitis, viral-induced asthma, heartburn and asthma, HIV and other allergic diseases. Scientific research, training physicians and caring for patients are intertwined; each supports excellence in the other. Clinical and basic research and teaching have made me a more informed and skilled physician. Interaction with patients likewise has strengthened my teaching and research skills. These interests and accomplishments have enabled me to travel throughout the world to teach other physicians, present research findings, collaborate with other scientists and to be elected President (2010-2012) of the World Allergy Organization, a group that represents approximately 80 country and regional member associations and all allergists throughout the world. “Perhaps the greatest pleasure I experience as a physician is being able to deliver skilled and focused care that helps people live better, healthier lives. Being a physician is about being a complete and compassionate human being, trying to make this great nation of ours a better place to live and promote science and excellence of care.” Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Dr. Lockey is married and has two sons and two grandchildren. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, classical music and collecting antique tools and American brilliant cut glass
