Dr. Richard Seda has been practicing podiatry in South Beach for two decades today. Dr. Seda’s practice primarily includes foot and ankle surgery, as well as sports medicine, however he treats all diseases and pathologies of the foot and ankle, specializing in bunion and hammertoe correction.
Dr. Seda graduated from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico in 1989. He went on to study at the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. After podiatry school, Dr. Seda moved to Miami where he performed a two-year foot and ankle surgical residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, graduating in 1995. Since then, he has been practicing and serving the Miami Beach community.
Dr. Seda shares his practice with his wife, Dr. Antomattei-Seda, and both have worked to stay up-to-date on the best practices to help their patients get back on their feet quickly. In particular, Dr. Seda has been using a technique for the past five years to help patients with sports injuries, tendonitis and plantar fasciitis who do not respond to typical podiatric treatments. It is called Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP), and this method harnesses the plasma cells in a patient’s blood to help heal the tissue that is injured or ailing the patient.
“This is something we use for injuries or longstanding inflammatory conditions that do not respond to conservative normal treatments,” Dr. Seda says. “When it is used properly, as the last course of treatment, it works very well.”

Great doctor with awesome communication skills in either english or Spanish. I would arrive 30 min early to work out any insurance concerns. He gave me treatment for a cut and possible infection and made me feel at ease. The location is convenient directly on Alton Road. I took an Uber with no problem

I've never been to a podiatrist and I'm also a total weenie when it comes to doctor visits in general. The staff was friendly and Dr. Seda was great. He explained everything to me because I was very interested in my stupid foot. He isn't pushy, and gives guidance on the best methods to move forward with. Once I grow a pair, I will probably get that cortizone shot.

I had some of the worse pain I ever felt on my big toe in the middle of the night. I quickly jumped on ZocDoc to make an appointment in the morning as I was ready to go to the hospital it was so bad! Dr. Seda has nothing but 5 star ratings and after you visit him it is clear why. His bedside manner, empathy, and knowledge is a breath of fresh air. He took the time to really understand the situation and diagnosed and treated me within 30 minutes! He is also really focused on minimal pain for shots/needles - I had a cortisone shot and didn't even feel it! It's been 2 hours since my appointment and I'm already walking! I can't safe enough about Dr. Seda, you won't be disappointed!

Although Dr. Seda was very kind, I felt for the amount of time I waited the visit was simply not worth it. He was very nonchalant about the surgery that he would have to perform to correct my deformity, which made me feel uncomfortable about proceeding with him as my surgeon. His staff was kind as well, but continually messed up while taking my X-rays. What should have been a fairly quick visit ended up taking nearly 3 hours, with only 5–10 minutes actually being seen by Dr. Seda. I believe they book appointment times far too close to one another.

I appreciated that dr Seda was able to see me the same day. He was very attentive and listened closely to the symptoms I described. He had several ideas as to what was causing the condition and ideas to help the situation. Very personable and professional.

Lovely staff, my experience with Dr. Seda was superb. Very attentive and informative. After several years, I have found a podiatrist that meets my needs. My 7 year old son is also a patient of his and Dr. Seda took very good care of the problem he was having with his ankle sprain.
