Hi, my name is Rita, and I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner providing care to clients in Alaska. I specialize in a wide range of mental health concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anger management and impulse control disorders, binge eating disorder, and burnout.
I also support clients navigating grief and loss, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), stress management, life coaching, and issues related to women’s mental health, LGBTQIA+ identities, gender, and sexuality. I’m particularly passionate about working with college and graduate students as they manage academic and personal pressures.
With over 20 years of experience in nursing and psychiatric training from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. I’m passionate about destigmatizing mental healthcare, and together with my colleagues at Lavender Psychiatry, I’m on a mission to create a world where feelings are felt, respected and cared for.
