Staff was so friendly! It’s hard to find a friendly front desk lately, I was so pleased to have such a pleasant experience. I get really nervous and anxious at doctors appointments, everyone helped make me feel a lot better. Already re-booked another appointment for my physical next week, even making my husband go to one of his own.

Honestly as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile and warm and inviting attitude of the super nice girl at the front desk. They were beyond helpful and just wonderful I was so thankful. The doctor herself took time with me to listen and address my concerns. Overall great experience I would recommend to anyone

Rita Romano attended Stony Brook University where she achieved her Bachelors of Nursing in 2014. She was already working as an RN since 2010 caring for children in the home care setting. After obtaining her BSN she became a telemetry RN at Mather Hospital on a specialized cardiac / stroke unit and has worked there for the past 6 years. Rita then went on further and completed her Masters degree in Nursing becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Stony Brook University so that she could diagnose and treat her patients at a higher level.
Rita is currently an active member of the NP Association of Long Island. When not working, Rita enjoys spending time with her family and two boys. She loves boating, going to the beach and doing anything outdoors.

Poorly run office...getting tired of PA and nps../ First complaint was while in exam room PA had assistant who became a distraction,PA Romano promised two requests by me,first was to call endocrinology and make a Md to Md appt for better date and time than I could get, second request was to call in one medication for sleep already on my med list,she agreed to both requests but when we were finished and I went to front desk requests were changed,I was annoyed np Romano did this as I was told to call endocrinologist myself and sleep med only one month and go to sleep specialist with pulmonary office included,never had to do this in prior 10years with previous MD's...was not allowed to talk to np Romano to see why requests were changed...Also did not discuss my bloodwork from previous doctor, she np Romano did not discuss much or even complement my good points on bloodwork..,also didn't know one item on bloodwork (?)...Last complaint,older woman at front desk talked to me disrespectful..

Rita was absolutely wonderful. I have never felt so comfortable talking to a medical professional before. She was so easy to talk to and I felt so at ease with her. The entire staff was nothing but friendly throughout my entire visit. I went for a physical and it was so thorough. I will definitely be coming back to see Rita in the future!

The staff was very courteous, from start to finish. No wait in the waiting room or in the patient room - comprehensive exams for a physical, including EKG and breathing test! Turnaround was super quick too.
My only gripe would be holding my credit card on file, which I understand people bail on payment, but also needing my social security number. Something about it being tracked through insurance? This was a first, but who knows. Could have used more clarity besides “That’s just our policy.” But, everything else made up for it.
