Went in with a several issues, had blood drawn there, several vials worth, for a presumably big work up. I called days later to find out any results and she had gone on vacation with no results to be given yet. Ok, went to a different doctor because I couldn’t wait 10 days to hear back. Funny things is, I never EVER heard anything back. Not from the Doctor, the NP, or anyone in the office. All the blood work? Not even a check in to see how I was or to tell me the results? Ridiculous. Wasted time and copay.

Having attended medical myself, I know that not all physicians are cut out for both knowledge and patient bedside manner. This is not the case for Ritu Patel. I drive 45 minutes to see her because I am treated as a friend yet by a doctor who truly has my best interests in mind. I was treated as an individual versus just another routine patient. She always is upbeat and eager to go out of her way to make sure that I leave not only feeling valued, but secure In the treatment that I received. Above all her humility reassures me that she puts her patients best interests in mind, never hesitating to say “let me look that up to be sure”. This is not common in the medical school let alone as a physician. In addition nephrology is one of the most complicated specialties so you can rest assured that you are receiving the best possible treatment. She is one of the best physicians I have been treated by, so look no further for your PCP. Also insurance ran out and still they were able to put the patients best interests at heart, a head of coverage. I cannot say enough great things about this physician. Also, this is the second review i have ever written on a doctor. She deserves one and I could not be homies satisfied. And I am quite picky when it comes to my PCP. Experience it yourself. Ah, and the office staff is beyond helpful. Thank you Dr. Ritu Patel.
