He received his medical education at the University of California, San Francisco and his Internal Medicine training at LAC-USC Medical Center. He did his Gastroenterology Fellowship at LAC-USC Medical Center. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Odell has expertise in most aspects of diseases affecting adults. His special interests are diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol disorders, and medical management for gastrointestinal disorders. His experience in psychiatric medicine has derived from many years of working with affective disorders, such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorders. He also has expertise in geriatric problems. His practice emphasizes preventive care and health maintenance. His goals are to have a holistic, caring relationship with each of his patients.
The training Dr. Odell received developed his strong sense of confidence in that he has seen just about "everything" at one of the largest county hospitals in the United States. His training and his years of experience gives him a great appreciation for the expertise of his colleagues and specialists. Dr. Odell keeps current on the latest medical trends and innovations. He refuses to compromise his basic principals of patient care regardless of the economic pressures to practice otherwise.

My appointment was scheduled by 2pm. and I was worry because I had to come back to my office. But They were strictly on time. Tracy the nurse is absolutely professional, kind and loving person. Dr. Odell has a lot of expertise. I highly recommend the Odell team.

If you're the kind of person who has been following the news and thinks that all medical professionals have sold their souls to become executioners for the welfare state then Odell is probably not the doctor for you, since he confirms all your suspicions. If you're chronically ill and need a certain medicine to stay alive, don't expect Odell to make you feel secure that it will be prescribed to you. Rather he'll try to use your medical needs to blackmail you into getting a physical. Does this sound just the way you think a doctor should behave? It figures. You're all sheep being led to the slaughter.

I just wanted a simple physical exam. In my first visit to the office I was wold (at the office) I needed labs and exams. Annoyed, I came back for a second exam and was locked out of the office for two hours following my appointment start. After that time I decided I would just see another doctor.

I came on ZocDoc looking to get a physical (it has been a couple of years). I found his staff & office to be above average. My physical was mostly with his Nurse of P.A. and she was wonderful, extremely polite and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Odell came in to go over my blood work and was personable, helpful, and knowledgeable. Would recommend based on my experience.

Most of my time was spent with the nurse practioner and Dr. Odell spoke to me for a few minutes. I did not have any chronic illness or sickness going into my appointment. However, my lab tests were interpreted by the office and discussed with me, all my questions were answered, and I came away equipped with new information and better ways to manage my health. Overall, it was a terrific visit.
