After completing his residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals, Dr. Robert Crumb fulfilled a National Health Service Corp Scholarship obligation in Colorado, where he was faculty at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. In 2003, Dr. Crumb moved to Austin and was in private practice for several years while participating part-time as a residency faculty member.
Dr. Crumb has always had a strong interest in medical education, and joined the University of Texas Physicians as a full-time faculty member in 2008. He has received numerous teaching awards and is a member of the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society.
Recently, his interest in medical cost effectiveness motivated him to complete his master's degree in Public Health. He helps patients with all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology issues including high-risk pregnancy. In his free time, Dr. Crumb enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.

Have used Dr. Crumb for several years, glad to see him back at Gynics Associates. I appreciate that he takes the time to assess patients' overall well being, not just the health of the girly parts.

He really takes the time to answer all of your questions. I'm usually nervous when I go to the doctor but Dr. crumb made me feel as comfortable as I possibly could. He's a jokester, so be prepared for that! I would recommend him to anyone that wants to feel like a patient and not a number!

I am not pleased at all. I am pregnant & have had irregular bleeding/spotting, but no pain, so i made the appointment to find out whats going on & the doctor shakes my hand, takes my urine sample & comes back in and tells me ive either misscarried, or im just barely pregnant & to come back in a week ! A week of not knowing (the whole reason i made the appt with him in the first place) - i pleaded with him to do a sonogram- he says maybe next time !! He was very friendly & fast with the appt, just i believe an idiot - like some cashiers that deal with money all day , but still have to look at the register to give you the correct change

Today was my first visit and I really liked Dr. Crumb. He was really nice and willing to answer any questions if I had them. Very excited that he will be my OB GYN through my first pregnancy!

Dr. Crumb has great bedside manner. He expained some complicated things to me in a way that I could understand and really put me at ease. I just moved to Austin last year and I'm glad I don't have to continue to search for a great OBGYN.

Robert Crumb was initially not who I had booked my first appointment with when I first used zocdoc, but after seeing him because of scheduling conflicts he has now become my ob-gyn. He his friendly, not cheesy, and answers any questions you have. Highly recommend!
