A Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who always puts the best interest of his patients first, Dr. R. DeWitt S. Jones earned his Bachelor’s Degree in religion from Yale University before obtaining his Doctor of Medicine from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. Trained by the Navy as a Flight Surgeon, Dr. Jones served in the US Coast Guard, earning three Sikorsky Search and Rescue Awards, before completing his residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. Prior to his service in the Coast Guard, Dr. Jones made two medical missionary trips to East Africa. Dr. Jones is currently licensed to practice in Georgia and New York. He is a Diplomate with both the National Board of Medical Examiners and American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, as well as a Fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons since 1983. Dr. Jones currently enjoys country living in rural Middle Georgia with his wife of over 40 years, Stephanie, and a menagerie of livestock and pets.
