Dr Tran is an excellent doctor. Besides being knowledgeable about my son's disease he takes his time to listen and will spend as much time as needed. If we have questions regarding his health and treatment, Dr Tran will call us on the same day and take his time to answer questions. My son was nervous when he was first diagnosed with the disease and Dr Tran has a way that he was and is able to explain things to him at his level without alarming him. The staff and nurses are always willing to help and take care of things immediately as needed. They have an excellent communication system as even if Dr Tran is working at a different location that day then he will still get my message. recommend Dr Tran highly.

Dr. Tran & Miriam were both amazing. I expected Dr. Tran to be all business (and he was) but he also listened and acknowledge my concerns & took us seriously. His knowledge and care were excellent also Miriam is amazing and surprised me with her level of attention & care.

Dr. Robert Tran is a board-certified pediatrician with additional certifications in pediatric gastroenterology, currently practicing at Miller Children’s Hospital, Torrance Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Fountain Valley Regional Medical Center and St. Mary Medical Center. Dr. Tran also serves as the Residency Education Liaison for Pediatric Gastroenterology at Miller Children’s Hospital.
With his special training in gastroenterology, Dr. Tran’s medical expertise includes inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, GERD, nutrition and obesity. He strives to be at the forefront of endoscopic techniques, and is certified in advanced endoscopic procedures and techniques by the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
Dr. Tran received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed his postgraduate residency training in pediatrics at the University of California-Davis Medical Center, where he was awarded the Residency Leadership Award. Dr. Tran then furthered his training by completing a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. Prior to coming to Miller Children’s Hospital, he was an Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University School of Medicine.
Dr. Tran is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Gastroenterology Association and the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, as well as the Crohn’s Colitis Foundation of America. He has also volunteered his time and medical services to programs such as Project Vietnam, in which he provided medical care and education to rural villages in Vietnam.

The doctor and his nurse are excellent at answering questions. I love how the doctor explains my son's medical condition to him so he can easily understand without alarming him. When I call the doctor's office the doctor or his nurse will always call me back quickly if I need questions answered regarding my son's health.
