Dr. Haws earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston – College of Optometry in 1989. He first practiced next to an optical chain in Lake Jackson. Four years later, Dr. Haws went into private practice with Vision Source in 1993. In 2008 Dr. Haws built his present optometric office in Lake Jackson equipped with the latest diagnostic technology including a minor surgical room.
Dr. Haws specializes in difficult contact lens fits and is therapeutically and Glaucoma certified. He uses the best and latest technology and enjoys educating patients about their eye health.
Dr. Haws is married to his best friend Marquita and they have 5 children, Kristie, Kyle, Aaron, Ali, and Abi of which 2 are enrolled at Texas A&M University. Dr. Haws enjoys time outdoors hunting and boating and is known to start many remodeling projects which his wife is eager to see slow down.
